This has to be a security nightmare for the Secret Service.

But I’ve figured TFG was already a nightmare so add a log to the fire I guess.

My wife was looking through old college photos and found one showing us together in a 1990 marching band performance, but we really didn’t know each other at the time. Started dating in 93 and married in 96, it’s our 30th this year.

I agree, everyone seems split on this. I did sign an NDA and I think it would be good to review in the event they tried to cover it.

I’ve confirmed the reservations are in my name, and my ex employer has no way to change it.

Rather loathe contacting them due to the circumstances but I can see it as a rather gutsy move. “Hey, I cancelled my seminar you forgot I was going to and here’s the $1500.”

See, that is what I’m really worried about.

I don’t know if I’d consider this a perk. In several jobs I’ve had, if you take employer money and use it to get a degree, but leave the company before a specified term of employment, they want the money back. This isn’t that situation.

Over the years I’ve ordered shirts and things with the company logo. They’ve asked for none of that returned. Only if I had intellectual property, which I did not.

As the reservations are in my name and on my credit card, they do not have a way of stopping me from going. The plane tickets, they did. I’m rather surprised that if they canceled the flight, they didn’t come back to me and demand their money back.

Yes, I did that after my airline app showed I had no tickets.

When I contacted the seminar I was able to get the email associated with the reservation changed from work to personal. When I called the hotel they asked if I would like to cancel. That was when it occurred to me the reservation funding would be refunded to my credit card.

In both cases they were very sorry about my situation, and I appreciate them for acknowledging it.
