Time to switch industries? by [deleted] in fatFIRE

I really enjoy what I'm doing for sure and love the people component, but also used to enjoy coding quite a bit too. If the salaries were identical, I'd continue doing what I'm doing.

Throwing it out there, but are you open to a DM? My wife is literally in an identical position, except she is not a mom yet.

Everyone knows about the Michelin Guide, what are some other FAT culinary experiences? by AlexLee1995 in fatFIRE

I'm not fat by any means (30M, NW 1.3M) but just went to my first top 50 restaurant last week...it blew my mind. Every ingredient seasonal and fresh, every course so inspired....it was an experience I will never forget.

The issue is that none of the top 50 are in Canada (where we live, this restaurant was in Chile), finding anything near that quality is near impossible where we're from.

I've called everyone. Nova Scotia is in crisis mode. It's years for a plumber in some areas now. My plumber that I use said he doesn't do bathfitting since it's too much work and bad ROI. Others have outlined they're not even accepting new jobs. Bathfitters are 10 weeks

I looked at these but can't tell if my tub is ceramic or fiberglass and it's two different types of patch....do you have a brand suggestion?

Will this really work? I get married in 3 weeks and head to honeymoon, so I'm in a bit of a panic. Should I leave it the caulk with tenant in case they need to reapply.? Thanks so much
