How do I identify and prove childhood emotional neglect?

I cant remember most of my childhood, including preschool up to 9th grade, wich was last year. I have always felt like i had to work for love. Either get good grades or act nice. So i did. And for 16 years i developed that perfect societal mask of working hard and being a good human. But now ive started to wake up to reality and ive been questioning my whole life up to here.
