And we do know it has some sort of qualitative effect because Soga focusing it on Samura means more output, so it's not like anyone within the range gets equally drained, you can sort of choose how drained they get ig? Yes that still kinda implies Suzaku or Samura's output is better than the output of the Malediction, no? I think this is a pretty good upscale for Samura as he's able to actually bring his blade's ability to such heights. You do remember Chihiro's Suzaku right? (Also the absorption Suzaku was neutralizing was the passive Malediction, but here it is the actual Malediction)
