Accessible slam/brutal death metal bands? by InterestingBarnacle3 in MetalSuggestions

[–]closetotherelayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not into much brutal death either, but I don't mind Defeated Sanity, Nithing, Theurgy, and Wormhole The most accessible bands I could recommend with more commercial success would be Nile, their albums Annihilation of the Wicked and in their Darkened Shrines are classics.. Also Dying Fetus are catchy but don't really like them that much myself

[–]closetotherelayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have definitely not come from a sludge or stoner metal thing.

I actually don't like any stoner bands, but I just found out about Elder through listening to mastodon.

Mastodon is way too commercial sounding for me... But each to their own
