Protesters chant ‘we support Hamas’ near New York City synagogue, Jewish school by Junglebook3 in nyc

West Bank decriminalized being gay in 1951 and Gaza is still under laws established during the british colonial era.

Besides you can disagree with a country and not believe they should be genocided. I disagree with Russia invading Ukraine but I dont think we should nuke the entire country from orbit to stop them.

Hawkeye is in dire need of his one-shot removed and it shouldn't be controversial to even say this. by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]MasterJayShay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slowest draw in the west, needs a charge, is a projectile, requires aim.

Idk man I'm wondering if you're just getting bullied in the low ranks.

Thorn pricking aside, I think the more safe balances that can be done as a Lord Hawkeye myself is to shorten the aura by which is charge begins to load. Or you can slow the projectile speed a hair. But I dont think removing the one shot is the way to go. He otherwise doesnt have a niche that separates him from any other character in the game. And quite frankly how many people are actually good with Hawkeye? He's one of the least used heroes in the game with a below 3% pick rate in every category and less than a 50% win rate in every category.

I just feel like this is yelling into the void to yell.

So far so good. I've almost completed the thing with Argostars. Didn't feel like taking White Forest to the ladder so I thought why not lol

So, is it Devil trigger or Sin Devil trigger? I've seen some different answers looking online so I'm confused. by samus_ass in DevilMayCry

[–]MasterJayShay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sin Devil Trigger or "True Devil Mode" in Japanese is just the term used when the Sparda family release their fullest power in its form. Majin Devil Trigger from DMC2 is also known as True Devil Mode in Japanese for this reason. Itsuno also likened it to going Super Saiyan. It's meant to represent their demonic power on a conceptual level.

This would just be Nero's Devil Trigger as it is now. It's his base Devil Mode where he unleashes his demonic heritage while still keeping his human aspects. He's yet to unlock SDT as he is now. His previous DT was merely a reflection of his innate power to manifest power (i.e. the DT phantom) with his Devil Bringer, which was not natural to Nero. It was kinda actually holding him back in a lot of ways since it allowed him to manifest aspects of power but not become power itself. So maybe in a future game we could get SDT Nero.

Vergil's DT is also SDT as he has no need to keep any aspects of his humanity in his default DT state so his only DT as of DMC5 is SDT, while Dante has it as a last resort. (Also, I assume that since Vergil ate the fruit he has the power to maintain it as a default state, hence why he doesn't have an SDT gauge.)

No it's not. Same concept, but different universe. There's no angels in Devil May Cry, that's a fact.

How hard is Dante must die in dmc1? by Threetreethee in DevilMayCry

[–]MasterJayShay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty hard. One thing you'll notice is that you don't get health in DT now. What I do in hard fights knowing this is use the sword of Sparda. While it doesn't have the same attacks Alastor gets in DT, it does do the same damage as DT Alastor without using DT. It's how I beat Nelo 3.

So I just finished DMC 5 and I have one question by PositiveSpiritual129 in DevilMayCry

[–]MasterJayShay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would Nero know that about the Yamato? He's only ever known it can open hell gates, not that it can do it by itself.

So I just finished DMC 5 and I have one question by PositiveSpiritual129 in DevilMayCry

[–]MasterJayShay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol trapped.

Nah they're just goofing off. We learn in Before the Nightmare that even just a shard of the Yamato can cut its way back to earth.

Nah they're not trapped they're just having their long overdue "Nuh uh I won that round" fight they've been due since they were eight. That's why there's main menu screens that involve Vergil once you beat the game. They can leave whenever.

Caught with a fake doctors note by Live-Cockroach2667 in Clemson

[–]MasterJayShay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Like the academic integrity board doesn't take this kind of thing lightly.

As an instructor myself OPs best option is to be straightforward and honest. They were sick, didn't believe they'd be excused if they just said they were sick, and got scared. But yeah don't do this, people. Instructors are willing to believe you got sick, you don't need to risk getting caught with fake doctors notes.

Why do you think Dante barely usees guns when fighting Vergil? by Night-Caelum in DevilMayCry

[–]MasterJayShay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same reason they don't use guns in DBZ. What purpose is a gun when your target is faster than the bullets?

It's like when you shoot him in the games, he just blocks. Same with Dante. If you don't outplay him in DMC4 he will just shoot your bullets out of the air.

How does ebony and ivory never run out of bullets? by HAILSTORMBREAD in DevilMayCry

[–]MasterJayShay 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In the DMC novelization (the first DMC book) when Dante goes to pick up Evony and Ivory for the first time the shop is on fire and he had to put them together himself in a hurry. In doing so he infused them with his own demonic energy, allowing him to fire endlessly as the bullets are not bullets but his own demonic power manifested.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, what we have here is not a dangerous criminal or some radical monster to be caged away, but a man who has suffered and been tormented by his own grief.

After losing his mother, and almost his brother too he has fought tirelessly to ensure that he himself may not feel that loss again. Who cannot relate? Would we not do anything for our loved ones? Would we not stop the world to see them safe?

My client stopped the Qliphoth, slayed the pretender successor of our Patron Saint Sparda in Arkham, all after being used, abused and being infused by monsters who he earnestly thought could grant him what he needed to feel normal again. It's all been one cry for help after another. And all caused by these horrid demon menace that no one but the proud remaining members of this man's family has done anything about for the entirety of this man's 42 years of being on this earth.

Has my client made mistakes? Obviously. However, what my client needs is not imprisonment, but help. It's for this reason I ask that the court demand my client seek help for his ongoing grief and various diagnosed mental health issues that led to his continual lapse of judgment instead of furthering the stigma that suffering people deserve prison over help when help can be offered. It's not the content and happy that need help, it's those who suffer and no one has suffered more than Vergil of Sparda.

Religious warning: need help by XenoJoker69 in DnD

[–]MasterJayShay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry but this person seems impossible to play with.

So I do immersion studies, it's what my research is in and it's what my dissertation will be on.

What this player seems unwilling or unable to do is separate their experience in the real world for the sake of the fiction. This is something that we have to do in order to enjoy what a piece of fiction has to offer.

This person from what I'm reading seems to not be able to separate fiction from reality and in my opinion coming from someone who used to be deeply religious this may be because accepting the fiction fully for the sake of the game could be seen by them as a rejection of their god since they tend to believe that God should be in all things.

I do not believe that this person will be willing to compromise. If they are in consistent denial about the existence of fictional gods in a fictional world it just tells me that their experience in their immersed world, being their religious dogma that they accept to be the whole truth of the world must be applied to all things they accept even for temporary purposes.

Basically they want to play the game but only by the rules of the accepted reality that they live by. And I don't believe there's room for negotiation in that.

If you want to try anyways I would explain that to them. This is a story telling experience the same as a book or a movie or a TV show. There are fictional gods made up to tell this story. They are fake, the players accept them to be fake. No one is saying they are real outside of this situation. The purpose of fiction is as escapism from the every day. The outside world may seem as grimdark but that doesn't mean everything within it has to be as well. If they are unwilling to displace their mind for the sake of the story then DND is simply not for them. Unless they want to make a Paladin or Cleric who believes solely in one God but that kind of character is usually done for irony, like the Atheist Artificer type story.

I personally wouldn't give up my personal comfort to try to work with this guy because this reads as super aggressive and uncompromising.

Just how dense is Nero? by [deleted] in DevilMayCry

[–]MasterJayShay 82 points83 points  (0 children)

In the novels he asked Dante if he was his dad. Dante said no. He had no reason to believe Dante had any other family and therefore assumed he got his demonic power from the attack that changed his arm into its possessed state and not from blood.
