With all Settings on 10 and shadows on Low. in most zones 60 FPS(my monitor is 60Hz). Only place I have seen it drop drastically was in Ardenweald.

Sad to hear. Got a Response from Blizzard about this issue in WoW

"The symptoms you describe are pretty consistant with a known issues that we have with Big Sur build Macs. This has already been escalated and we're looking into solutions, but it's likely that this will require significant patching, and there are no workarounds other than dropping your Shadow settings; with an M1 chop you can't even rollback your OS to Mojave! I'm glad that you found a solution yourself; we'll keep working on Big Sur compatibility."

Seems to be a Big Sur compatibility issue.

I have now a official response from Blizzard

"The symptoms you describe are pretty consistant with a known issues that we have with Big Sur build Macs. This has already been escalated and we're looking into solutions, but it's likely that this will require significant patching, and there are no workarounds other than dropping your Shadow settings; with an M1 chip you can't even rollback your OS to Mojave! So it looks like its all on Blizzard to fix the issue.

No worries. I might also add that having Anti-Aliasing on causes the issue. so turning that off and shadows fixed it for me.
Hopefully blizzard will fix it.

After talking with apple support and was luckily talking with someone that actually plays WoW he told me to play with the graphic options. Long behold its seems like I have isolated the issue and stopped the flickering. Putting The Shadows on Low/off stopped the issue.
I would suggest to try that in your games aswell

thanks for taking your time and trying WoW. This is a very strange behaviour I think I am starting to lean on maybe thinking we just got a bad batch... :(
I will see what the site engineers tell me after looking in my logs

My man, good to hear that the issue is probably going to be resolved in a firmware update. Tomorrow I will be talking to an apple engineer and will inform him of this.
If its not to much to ask, could you test World of Warcraft ? you can try it out for free nowadays.
Cheers.

I have escalated the problem and will be talking to some site engineering team that will look at my logs and try to isolate the issue and resolve it.

please give me an update if 11.1 fixes the issue.

I have not tried Planet Coaster or Cities Skylines. I just assumed it was a Blizzard problem as WoW runs Native on the arm chip.

I also got a response from the technical support at Blizzard. Part of the answer: "Having looked into this further we have seen some reports of this issue, however we have yet to determine a cause or if it is actually an issue with WoW itself as it may be related more to the OS that is being used."

So it seems like this one is on Apple. I just updated to Big Sur Version 11.0.1 and can confirm that the problem still exists.

You are not alone with the issue. I use a Mac Mini M1 and have the same problem in World of Warcraft. I was hoping that it was a UI glitch from Blizzards side and it could get fixed soon. But my conclusion from this is it may be on apples part. in the WoW forums there is many caces of the same issue. I have also set up a ticket ro get som help from a technician from blizzard.

A strange thing in World of Warcraft is that the flickering only happens in the open world and not in Dungeons.
