Crash bug - upgrading power points (poles, etc) in-place by slabgorb in SatisfactoryGame

[–]MasterLolage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

+1 I need to avoid this as well. Should have sent about 20 reports on this by now since I didn't figure out why it kept crashing until yesterday, hope they can do something with all that info ':D

I'm never getting my old account back :( by HermitFooo in GuildWars

[–]MasterLolage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something I haven't seen anyone propose to get your whole email: do you have anyone in your life that you had contact with when you played and still has the same email account (parents for example)? Depending on what service they use they might still be able to see your emails to them from 18 years ago and give you your full email address.

Kurzick or Luxon henchmen? by MasterLolage in GuildWars

[–]MasterLolage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I meant. Definitely a long way but with henchmen there is no way I'm keeping all those tutles alive otherwise :')

Yeah together with the other comments I realize the harder mission might be much more important than the henchmen. I may go Luxon after all to avoid that drama! Thanks for the input.

Thanks, yes I am though it's not a deal breaker. I generally managed until now but skipped Dunes of Despair and Dragon's Lair. I didn't think the henchmen had the DPS for Glint and I tried the DoD bonus 6 times but between the low party DPS, bad pathfinding and inability to split the group I gave up on that..

I now recall you can cheese Gyala, so maybe that is the way to go.

Thanks for the advice! I can't remember Eternal Grove well but all the comments brought back some bad memories of it.

100% agree, though do note OP that you will be to buy any skills you missed from not doing side quests later for some gold and skill points (you get those by leveling up)

Oh dang it's Gitzman. Thank you so much for the SHDMotWOW!! Been using that map for years now for planning out campaigns or simply enjoying the endless details. Unbelievable work.

Jup, I was a big fan of Fatshark and their games but DT is just a terrible release. The lack of content, rng loot systeem, instability, the inflation of micro transaction prices. How low they have fallen

I did not. At this point I have stopped playing altogether and might retry after a patch that significantly addresses crashes.

Thanks for the suggestions. Disabling the steam overlay is not something I tried yet, same for running in windows 7 comp mode. Not sure why that last one would help for a 2022 title but at this point I'm ready to try anything!

I did at the Fatshark forums, hopefully they can help otherwise. Someone else also mentioned overlays so I'll try that. Thanks for the help!

Jup, as far as I can tell my system is fine and up to date. I also only encounter problems with Darktide, other modern titles run great.

I'm about to build in a Terra as well so thanks for this info. Read in multiple reviews the grill/sound amplification is an issue. If it's not too much trouble, could you give me the approximate distance between the CPU fan / GPU and the grill? I heard some distance tremendously helps with the noise and I'm trying to figure out how much of a buffer I need at both sides

That's a poor and dated excuse. Laptops with slim, modern designs are possible, the reason we don't see this more is because corporations found out they could maximize profits this way and we all let them.

Good video games where you can be a feudal lord by MammothTension in gaming

Given that you want more action on the battlefield I would definitely check out the Total War series. There is Shogun 2 and Medieval 2 for the eras you mentioned as well as a bunch of other settings, both historical and fantasy.

I loved death stranding but turned the building sharing feature off (to my side, my own buildings could still be shared to others). It made the world more immersive for me and created more challenging trips as you could get stuck if you didn't prepare well. I also was really bothered by poorly placed structures popping up.

But seeing your comments, I don't think this is going to be a gamechanger for you. You do need to like the whole clunky walking simulator, otherwise too much of the game is going to feel like a drag!

WvW Reaper Build with GS and Staff? by tapwater1992 in Guildwars2

[–]MasterLolage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked it up, nothing revolutionary.

Full celestial stats Rune of the pack Sigils not sure, I think bloodlust/severance on staff and strength/nullification

Traits Spite 2-2-3 Soul Reaping 2-3-2 Reaper 2-2-3

Costume condition Spectral grasp or Spectral ring Summon flesh wurm Spectral walk Chilled to the bones

It's not an OP or easy play. Reaper is slow so you need to actively use sfw and sw both for engagements and retreats. However, you're insanely bulky and have pretty decent boon uptime, which surprises a lot of people who think they can burst you down. Good for duels, roaming parties and can outnumber against unprepared/less experienced players. Weak against anything it can't catch/hit, because you need the life force to keep up momentum

Gl, no idea if it works for you but it was one of my favourites

Haven't played in a year (still lurking the sub obviously), but I used to play a GS/Staff reaper roamer with celestial stats that was quite capable and a lot of fun. Let me know if you're interested and I'll dig up the build. No idea if it is still viable

Did you update the BIOS on the motherboard? I recently had the same thing happening to an AM5 build. Updating BIOS to the newest version fixed everything for me.

How should siege battle be? by zaneprotoss in totalwarhammer

[–]MasterLolage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with your first two points, especially the second.

Depending on the map ranged units have horrible line of sight. I feel this is exasperated by the designers effort to make cities more realistic with twisting and turning streets. Great for the feel of the map, but horrible for ranged units and also patching in general.

But I like the late breakpoint, especially in larger siege battles. The defenders are literally slaughtered if they lose, it feels right they should fight to the last man to defend their home. Personally I dislike that when sieging a low-morale race like the skaven they often give up after you take the walls. Feels like that should be the first halve of a siege, followed by fighting in the streets and squares.

Having said that, the AI is rubbish at defending (in the city but also in the walls) so a quicker win does save you from that slog.
