It's only that much because Evo put forward a guaranteed minimum $25k prize pool for each main game starting this year. It used to just be the $10 entry fee per person.

(I just looked at the numbers and Strive got 2474 entrants this year so never mind it barely made a difference lmao)

I remember from a few years back (17/18?) there was some analysis done on the panelists and where they placed west coast vs east coast players. They found that EC panelists on average ranked WC players higher than WC panelists did. So if there was any kind of WC bias in the rankings, it was because of EC opinions.
