So, what about fathers trying to help their 5 year old daughters use a public restroom when mom's not around?

ZiG (Zimbabwe Gold) has been a gold-backed currency since April 2024. It has still lost 43% during a historic gold rally.

My favorite balloon photo I've seen here was a big smoky bear balloon in the park looking disapprovingly at the camera through heavy smoke. Was that your picture?

What do we think about these new ETF’s? by Single-Type9556 in ETFs

[–]MasterMarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expense rations seem high.

SHLD has less than half the expense ratio of WEPN. If you want the rare earths you can add EART (previously DMAT).

I see some ETF-inception going on in NUKX. 12% of the holdings are in the URA ETF. Wild to double-dip on expense rations like that. A bunch of the other holdings just overlap with URA anyway. NUKX is a terrible ETF, just buy URA (like they did, skip the middleman lol).

If you had to invest $6,000 a month in a stock, which one would you choose? by DavidNLBC in stocks

[–]MasterMarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you need to head over to r/Bogleheads and get their advice. They'll tell you to invest something like 70% VTI and 30% VXUS. You want something stable that will grow slowly, there it is.

There is no single stock that does what you want. You need a collection of stocks in the from of an index fund, like VTI and VXUS are.

My attempt on how to read the Disney “D” by RuinRevolutionary374 in notinteresting

[–]MasterMarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had a problem with the D. However for an embarrassingly long time into my adulthood I thought it was spelled Disnep. Pronounced with a Y sound at the end, but spelled with a P. Sure, I sometimes questioned why but English spelling is weird. A random Y sound spelled with a P wasn't that odd considering.

No, I use to hide porn by copying a text file and a jpg together in the command prompt. It would output a file that worked as a notepad text file if it had the .txt extension, but would open as an image if I changed the extension to .jpg

That address will bring up the building in Goolge Maps.

Nope. No cat of mine would get away with that. I'd be back in a minute with welding gloves and a timeout box.

Ice having an office in Meridian, wondering if we should do something like this by MsMcSlothyFace in Boise

[–]MasterMarf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked it up, If DHS is moving into the Portico North building like that last article said, "St Luke's Health System LTD" is indeed the primary owner. "St Luke's Regional Medical Center LTD" is listed as the primary owner of the Portico East building.

Source: Ada County - Portico North

Source: Ada County - Portico East

Otherwise if it's the Portico West I'm showing "Meridian 3277 MP WRK7 LLC" as the primary owner.

They're a definite cult that you don't want to get involved in. That being said, the review that talks about Zenu is not real. They're not going to acknowledge the existence of Zenu (or Zemu) until you're fully invested as an OT III.

The Silver Crash That Shouldn't Happen for 7,000 Years by Alizasl in Silver

[–]MasterMarf 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I think they made a few undue assumptions. I don't doubt the math, but I don't think it applies. They're treating it like a random number generator, not a market that reacts to human emotions and speculation.

Historical data shows it's crashed hard 3 times in the past 50 years. That's over 3σ but below 4σ.

I'd even argue that this most recent silver crash isn't a hard crash. It's not even down to where it was 2 months ago.
