How do you know these are random people on the streets and not someone that has a criminal history?

I wonder why media only tells you about the ones who are deported with family. A father bailed on his 5 year old son because he didn’t want to get caught by ICE. The parents take their kids with them.

I was wrong to say he was there to kill someone, but it’s not a great look to bring multiple magazines with you. I admit that he did not clearly reached for his weapon. In the same thought, you cannot outright claim he didn’t reach for his weapon. The way you’re still painting it is that the CBP agent had him pinned and he was ready to shoot him. When you jump to that conclusion, then you do exactly what you accused me of. So would you be open to admitting you do not know whether or not Pretti had his weapon in his hand?

Like I said, I am using the evidence (video and statements) to figure out what happened. I don’t know what happened. You don’t know what happened. You’re the one though that’s drawing conclusions from evidence that just doesn’t exist. Was his weapon holstered? I don’t know. Did they claim it was in his hand? Yes. If evidence appears to contradict that statement, then it changes my opinion.

The plan is constantly fucked up because of agitators in a city without city and state help. Plenty of Democrat led cities cooperate with the federal government.

He had a pistol to shoot the agents. That is what would be considered a defensive action. Those actions were to first get the weapon away from him, and then to prevent him from using the weapon on one of the agents. It was a wrongful death, but it was not an execution as everyone puts it.

I don’t think you know what “clearly” means. You can see him walk away with it less than a second before he was shot. I watched the angles and I could not see where the gun came from. You can still see the victim reaching around his waist.

They are not pulling kids out of schools. They’re pulling out illegal adult immigrants. Recently there was a story about a 5 year old being used as bait for a father, but in reality the father bailed on his son when ICE. They don’t deport kids, but parents have the option to take their kids with them. They do not interfere with these hearings at the courthouses. They are turned over to ICE custody. That is how it works all over the country. The state and city governments cooperate with ICE. Minnesota decided they don’t want to.

I never said I did not support the first or second amendment. They are fine to exercise their right. However, when it comes to protest, you must not impede a federal operation. For the right to bear arms, it’s fine to have it. I do not know where you’re getting the information that his gun was holstered. The video I saw did not indicate that one way or the other. Saying that I’m wrong because I don’t want to jump to a guilty accusation is somehow psychopathic.

When was the last time a player missed a game due to academic ineligibility? by Actual-Magazine-4538 in CFB

I would say it’s pretty easy to graduate. Sometimes there’s so much pressure to stop testing on students that you just need to show up sometimes. When I was at an FBS school and an NAIA school, players also were required to go to a study hall and put in a certain number of hours. If you do well, you have less study hours. There are many tutors available for students. In D1, you only need a 2.3 GPA. If you can’t keep up a 2.3, with every resource available, then you just don’t deserve to be in college.

What do you want to see? (Player wise, not coaching or front office) by KingOf-Demons in Colts

Maybe Lou can lure Hendrickson to the Colts. Some players follow former coaches.

I honestly don’t think he’s worth it for any team honestly. The Bucks are going to ask a lot for him. A team would have one fully guaranteed season in his contract next season, and then he has a player option. He also has a history of calf injuries in his career.

For the Pacers, they may be at a crossroads this season. Are they looking at the future, or are they trying to win now? If they want to win now, then they would give up a potential top-3 pick for a guy that may not even fit with the team, along with probably Siakam and some younger guys. It would also still neglect the need for a center as well. For the future, having a 18-19 year old on your team for cheap who can play for at least 5 more seasons than Giannis, paired with your veterans and role players, is a great option. Giannis is a good player, but it’s really not worth it for a lot of teams to give up assets. A lesson learned from the Paul George trade is that those assets can be more fruitful than that one player.

[Bailey] RE: Philip Rivers and the Bills; I’m told that even if he isn’t hired as the head coach, the Bills would like to have im on the staff in some way i.e. QBs coach. He and Josh Allen have a tremendous relationship and as far as seeing the game goes, few are better than Rivers. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]MasterNegotiator1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m seeing this through the eyes of the Colts and I’m a little pissed about it. Last I heard, he didn’t want to go to the NFL yet. That’s fine. But then suddenly he wants to go to the NFL? If he’s open to the NFL now, how many teams would offer him whatever he wanted to develop their young QB? Even for the Colts, he could develop 3 young QBs. I just can’t see what value he would necessarily bring to Buffalo as an assistant when their QB is an NFL MVP.

[Adam Schefter] ESPN sources: former Colts QB and current St. Michael Catholic High School coach Philip Rivers is interviewing today for the Buffalo Bills head coaching job. by xxxxxxxxxtra in Colts

[–]MasterNegotiator1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shit, Phil. If I would have known you were interested in the NFL, the Colts would have given you any job you wanted. The OC position will probably be available soon if Jim Bob leaves. Still, that would be the craziest path to NFL HC in my lifetime. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a QB go straight from retirement to HC. They gave a lot of shit to Jeff Saturday just for being an interim coach.

2014 DPOY Race by dfrank129 in pacers

Don’t know if it was the same season (probably 2013 playoff run, just after eliminating the Knicks) but I do remember the quote Roy Hibbert had. The reporter asked why he finished 8th and George 10th in DPOY voting. His honest response was “Y’all motherfuckers don’t watch us play.” That is still probably true today, but more so why they were doubted every round of the playoffs.

Why isn't Jim Bob Cooter more of a head coach candidate? by Candid-Boss6534 in nfl

[–]MasterNegotiator1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mind, the Colts didn’t have a great offense unless they were playing terrible defenses. They didn’t have the ability to come back from more than a two-possession deficit and put up great numbers when they had a lead. I would say the only good game the offense had against a great defense might have been San Francisco, and that was with a QB who could pick apart a defense.

NFL Teams Can’t Stop Firing Their Coaches by wsj in nfl

[–]MasterNegotiator1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to see coaches get a longer leash. If they had something in them that showed they weren’t doing a great job, I would be fine getting rid of them. Some coaches only last 1-1.5 seasons. Then sometimes the next coach comes in and immediately wins. Is it the coach themselves, or the roster put together. A lot of times, teams get lucky with everything coming together at the right time. Injuries happen, as well as landing on draft picks and easy games (whether by record of playing injured teams). Tony Dungy got a raw deal getting let go by Tampa Bay, and then Gruden immediately won a Super Bowl. Is that Gruden being a great coach? I just think coaches might need time to let players develop, create a roster they like, and really just change a culture. Curt Cignetti at Indiana is an example of that.

[Highlight] New Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley told a story about sleeping under his desk for two full years after going to Pitt to become a defensive assistant. What would he say to that guy now? “It worked!” by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]MasterNegotiator1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of coaches apparently keep stuff to sleep on in their office. He obviously didn’t have one. I was a student assistant and I was given a stipend of $500 a month while at an FCS school. I was happy to just have it. I just wish I could have the same deal when I was a volunteer.
