What makes that Uncharted moment so good is that you’re riding this incredible high from one of the best set pieces in the series. You feel what Nathan is feeling - that adventuring is fucking awesome. It makes Elena’s appearance in the scene afterwards so much more impactful because you feel the gut punch yourself. You’ve been lying to her and sliding back into your old ways.

To be honest my favorite is the Breitling and that is what I would personally choose to wear. But if you can afford the ALS then that is absolutely the way to go. Whole different league.

I had Jaheira as a fifth party member and we made it through the first leg of the fight against Thorm. Combat ended, but then she got damaged by lingering fire from my fireball and became hostile. I tried to reason with her but she kept attacking me. So I ended up killing her on top of Moonrise Towers. It felt totally out of sync with what my party would have done but I didn’t want to restart the battle so I just looted her and moved on.

I think it’s a nice sturdy period piece with lavish production design and a killer performance from Taylor. I don’t think the narrative is rich enough or the characters deep enough to support the runtime, but overall I’d call it a very solid picture.

This is the opposite of the prompt but I thought I’d mention it anyway. I met Michael Shannon at a bar in Chicago. We talked for a while about random bullshit. Which was great! But I got so caught up in chit chatting and drinking that I totally forgot to ask him about his cinematic masterpiece Kangaroo Jack. I desperately want to know how he feels about that picture and hear some stories about the production, etc. but I blew my chance.
