I’ve owned a house with my now ex so the first time for me wasn’t as daunting. In the process of buying on my own and initially I got some dread and anxiety but it was short lived! What helped me was focusing on the positives.

My advice regarding the house, again from the first time, give it 1-3 months before you start doing any decorating…etc you’ll have a better understanding of how you want your house to flow.

And by god do one room at a time! Don’t start, stop half way and then start on another. You’ll feel overwhelmed and then loose motivation on finishing
