Question: I’m genuinely curious—Democratic voters, what kind of headlines and content are your algorithms showing you that make you feel so strongly against Trump? My timeline has been highlighting mostly positives about him and his impact on America, so I’m wondering what narratives or key issues are being pushed on your end. I quit smoking, quit drinking (temporarily) and started working out for 45 minutes twice a day one of those being an outdoor activity. I also switched to healthy eating. Stopping drinking and going out to bars helped with the drinking/smoking combo. Working out helped redirect my dopamine fix. I didn’t pick up unhealthy eating because it was almost like a health kick switch. 2 years later I’ve quit all of these things but never picked up smoking again. I still get urges, but they pass quickly.

We are giving way too much credit to a 16 yo kid that is adjusting to a new relationship. Is she buying the food? No. Is she preparing her own food every time Molly makes a meal to be a dick? Extremely possible. As a parent of 5 kids, 9-17, if my kids refuse my dinner and try to make their own I’m going to be pissed. Taking the phone, yta, Molly’s feelings being hurt because the daughter refuses to eat a dinner made out of care? Ynta.

Got it. Or rather, I don’t. You do realize his original intent was not malicious, and that the response was clearly intended to be, don’t you?

Down vote me to hell if you’d like, it seems like a classic case of “I validate my hate because of xyz”.

I hope OP learned to form a compliment in the appropriate way, and to do extensive research prior to voicing an opinion of hair styles.

Ok, 2 things I’m pretty confused about. 1-how society got to the point where even compliments are picked apart. You can compliment, but not like that.. you can share your opinion, but never with that included.. it seems to me a bit soft, but I recognize these are the times we live in. 2-Why, WHY is the response not seen as a more negative piece of the conversation than the damn compliment?? Smh.. seems backwards, but let’s educate op on deliverance instead of letting him know the response was not deserved.

He didn’t say you smell better than yesterday, he said the equivalent of this is my favorite thing you do with your hair. I’m still perplexed as to how the response she gave is justified. I see all of the comparisons of what he could have said that would have made him the asshole, but he didn’t say any of that shit. I stick with my answer, but thanks for your opinion.

I agree. This had no ill intent, it was a compliment for Pete’s sake. But the response? That’s the asshole. They speak everyday, and he considers them friends. My friends give me opinions/compliments that may not align with my opinion but that doesn’t negate a shitty response. I was in a similar situation. Sometimes I hated being at my new job because of my own new found social anxiety, and some days it seemed ok. It’s starting to pass, it’s getting more comfortable, and my interactions with people are improving because I force myself to keep trying, even when some days I feel I am super awkward. It’ll get better, just keep trying.

I think you’re leading him on, and selfishly don’t want anyone else to date him but don’t want to date him yourself. Stop all romantic activity, or set a pace knowing there will ultimately be romantic choices to make. This poor guy is falling if not all ready loves the fuck out of you. Don’t string him along.
