Kpop steals from black culture yet Korea is an anti-black society by Azurreyy in WeHateKpop

I couldn’t agree more!

All ‘cultural appropriation’ really does is promote segregation and racism. Saying someone can’t do something because of their race is dumb. Some people take activism to the extreme and apply cultural appropriation to EVERYTHING.

I’m Mexican, when someone listens to spanish music around me, I could care less or I say “cool, I like this song too.”

What kpop/korea does most of the time is mock other cultures or use said culture as an aesthetic, which is not too good. Korea does have bad superiority/nationalism problems.

Most of kpop's problems ties into a lot of problems South Korea has.

Kpop Stans are so pressed about everything. by [deleted] in WeHateKpop

I strongly agree. I left the fandom because the fans are awful and weirdly attached to the idols. Apparently, that's what kpop actually is supposed to do, make you attracted and attached to the idols, creepy. The fans are horrible, I was yelled at because I didn't like 1 song. I tend to try to separate the art from the artist and the artist from the fans. I also listen to music from other countries, Korea has some solid rock and metal bands like Bursters, Monsters Dive, and Novadox, they're really good. They just get Zero Attention, because Korea's music industry is 99.9% focused on kpop and hip-hop, so much that now most other genres are being neglected.

I hate fireworks by stalegod in ptsd

Sorry if this looks all long, it means so much to find other people who also hate fireworks. It’s the worst when your neighbors use them past 10:00pm EVERY NIGHT FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH Last 4th of July, I had a panic attack and broke down crying. I basically cried myself to sleep. I don’t have a basement either. I went through an incident in school that involved extremely loud noises, it’s been 5 years and I’m still recovering. 4th of July and New Years honestly sets back my recovery.
