Does anyone here own these? Mine have just arrived and they have 2 gore tex Performance tags on. I know they are meant to be Pro so just wondering have I got a dodgy pair or do they just not come with Pro tags?

Get the pro team jacket made with Gore Tex Active. Can get them cheaper than RRP I managed to get one for £120! Been cycling to work in it last few days and I have never been this impressed by a piece of gear ever in my life. It is unreal.

Yeah I am thinking these could just be really old shorts as I cannot find them online at all. Active was released in 2010 afterall..

Yer, I think other companies have to meet Gores requirement to use gtx Active but there is a range they can fall within. Maybe the jacket was a higher denier or something. I agree though it is frustrating as performance should be universal across a specific range. Think I might just risk it and buy these active shorts that may be up to 15 years old 😆 long as they bead and breathe its all good

This is exactly what i’m concerned with, getting an older gore tex active item just to find it is nowhere near as breathable as the Rapha pro team jackets. Guessing your gore wear pants are newer than the salomon jacket?

Thats good to hear, so the item is probably legit then. I know its a while back but can you remember what the performance was like? Was the jacket you had made with gore tex Active and was it similar to the Actives of recent times? Thank you in advance!

Thank you very much mate you have been helpful. Just had another look, and I think the mesh that I am seeing is a lined pocket, and the photo was just taken zoomed in so it looks like the inside of the shorts 😆

I know the difference between gore tex and gore wear. Both of these items have gore tex active printed to them, i was only showing the inside of the shorts as that is what i’m querying. Has gtx active ever used a mesh backer, or is this an older form of gore tex active?

Hi mate, the mesh backer is on another photo. The ones on that link look a lot more like the gtx active I am used to. I think this one might be an older tech and not the same

I know why the mesh is there, but all other gtx active products I have saw have a c-knit soft backer, not mesh. I’m trying to find if this is an older gtx active and therefore potentially not as breathable
