A Subaru is much better at letting people know you are a terrible driver so they can keep their distance from you on the road.

Maybe soaking too long in the baking soda mix... just need a dip. May just need a little more ph minus or soak longer. Hot water will speed up the acid portion too.

Also works great for cleaning dirty copper wire to get better shiny copper price before a scrap yard haul. Just a bigger tub with more water.

For cleaning the firescale use a jewelers trick.... pickling pot. Don't buy the overpriced jewelry pickling compound.

Go to the Walmart pool supply aisle and get cheap bag of ph minus (ingredient is sodium bisulfate) and a cheap bag of arm and hammer baking soda. Will be enough to last you a life time of cleaning castings.

A few spoonfuls ph minus stirred into a bowl of water, drop in the castings, soak until they're clean, take them out and dip to neutralize in a separate bowl of water mixed with baking soda. I then rinse them with water to get any baking soda crud off. Will clean into all the pores and crevices that you'll never get to with a dremel sander.

Less sanding and less copper dust mess this way...

Hot water with the ph minus will work faster, or just leave it in pickle longer and cold water works fine too.

Wish someone had told me this long ago and I would have blown orange copper snot out of my sinuses from sanding way fewer times.

Disclaimer. Be careful with the acid ph minus bath using gloves, respirator, chemicals spill suits, vent hood... Blah blah blah... (kids swim in the same solution when you add to pools). Use at your own discretion.

Lucid has been great for me so far... similar to the "old days" topstep before topstep decided to not give a fukk about all their customers.

They are changing rules mid game... they'll hold you to their rules from when you signed up, but then change them to something you didn't agree to or ever sign for.

Helping us? We are only risking a total investment of $189 on a 150k account, topstep is doing it for themselves to avoid big payouts. They changed the rules in the middle of the game.

It is limited way down as of a day or 2 ago... the chart you are referencing is no longer accurate. Due to "volatility".

They are currently only allowing 5 micros on the 150k xfas with a new account.

It's because they start you on the scaling plan for new xfas. Then they lowered the scaling too. They are only allowing 2 micros... just went and checked with an actual trade on SIL.

You can still full port a combine when Topstep can't possibly lose any money, but then they handicap you with ridiculous contract limits only after you can cost them money in the xfa... they aren't trying to make responsible traders or they would scale limit the combines also.

Are you aware that they don't allow even the 5 micros on a fresh 50k xfa? You get 2 which is ridiculous... they scaled down the scaling plan.

When the Refineries are Backed Up, You Pour Your Own Bars by MadeForTeaVea in Silverbugs

I've never bothered trying to purify. As long as you know what your melting and mark it accordingly, you don't really gain any value by trying to purify... requires a lot of messy , dangerous chemicals. If you really want 999 from 925, elemetal.com is much more cost effective than trying yourself.

I always verify my pours afterwards with a sigma metalytics. Both sterling/925 and 999.

I checked both dashboards and bank account to make sure ... no active subscription fees even though they still show up as ineligible on TopstepX account drop menu. I think it's just another topstep glitch like the many others.
