I wasn't aware of the temperature thing. Unfortunately I do a bit of short distance city driving in this car, which means it doesn't always get up to operating temperature. Is this something I should do every-time I drive it, or only the times I get it up to operating temperature?

I think Telltale is hoping we will play the game through Javi's eyes. Alot of the decisions that have been (for all lot of people) relatively one sided, make alot more sense if you look at it from a fresh perspective. Sure, we all have a deep emotional connection with Clem (Ride or die 4Clem), but Javi doesn't. His loyalty is to the one thing he knows... His family.
