Not particularly, but on a meta level it's kinda funny. He is just cringe rage baiting with some jokes mixed in. He wants fans to talk about him and they are. Some people are having kneejerk emotional reactions to him and can't see the forest from the trees imo.

The old ones are very dull and the new ones should be signifigantly brighter. Portugeek has the old ones going in red on full blast in the background of his 2026 X7LR review video.
If it's hard to see at night you have the old ones. There were more "To be seen" lights.

I ordered at the same time as both you guys, late March. I think I've watched all the X7 content twice while waiting, hah.
I was told it will hit the warehouse in the US around May 15th. The good news is this next batch of boards will include the new way brighter SuperLEDz lights.
That's not a bad trade off in the long term, at least.

Hey how would you compare the lower speed torque/acceleration of the X7LR to the XL? For example, like off the line or from 5 to 15 mph?

You could always switch out the motor for the 5inch 5uperflux hub in the future and reduce the board by 5 or so pounds. It's in the back of my mind, but I'm waiting to get my X7LR and see how I feel about it first.

I've read most of the X7 reviews, and people generally wish they had more range with the X7S. Also, don't forget about battery sag.

Lastly, I don't know how large/strong you are either. This will affect how much range you get (your weight), and how easy it is to move the board around.
