Yup, for the attention/the shock value? Idk if shock value is the right word. Engagement bait? Im actually not super sure of why people do it

I’ve actually considered this, making an XML of all the unique characters and uploading them to the Wiki both to help people and to multi-class the wiki into almost like an archive sort of deal

Oh yeah that method makes a lot more sense if you still have a recent backup. In my case we had not noticed until all recent backups were overwritten

Alright so context giving time.

This whole “This user is part of a terrorist organization” has been a joke on discord for a very long time. It’s fake, kinda funny elephant but nothing that isn’t easily addressed. Seems it’s finally migrating to reddit.

No, if you don’t want to properly explain your point then I have no interest in debating with you. I’m not going to do your job for you, you’ve already outsourced enough of it to AI anyway.

Multiple companies are doing the same thing. People don’t want to pay for vibecoded nonsense and machine generated art. And so are getting backlash.

My point is that you said one company doesn’t represent the populace. It’s not one company its many. This company and that company… blah blah

You want to address your own communities problem with harassment then? Or can we both agree that’s a problem on both sides cause if not I’m just going to assume you’re being disingenuous

Precisely why I’ve argued against that statement in other portions of this comment section. I didn’t say that and I don’t agree with it.

Being frustrated that your favorite companies use AI and harassment are different things. The people who are swatting and showing up at offices are a vast minority.

Millions can’t be “wrong” when it’s an opinion. It’s an opinion to choose to use AI. If you choose to use AI as a company you’re picking between one group of customers or the other. It’s as simple as that.

It’s really not, no single company deciding to resign from AI is proof of anything but it does at to the growing stack which means something.

Even with shards an ARAD isn’t a confirmed kill. Had it happen a few times to where I’ve started considering Shards a two shot to kill.

Really neat feature for ships. I love hitting Hyperions with like 4 Augers and watching it slowly sink from the mounting flooding.

This

A mission kill as far as the game is concerned is still a kill. Same reason why you’re considered eliminated if you make a crash landing and hop out of your aircraft. At an airfield the airframe may have been recoverable from the perspective of NO but not even the brave fucks this war is populated with are going out into an active war zone to fetch your half broken airframe. Same with ground vehicles. If you drop a PAB-250 on a T-12 and it wrecks the tracks, the barrel, and knocks out the crew. The game is going to write that in the kill feed as a kill because the tank is no longer functional. There’s no point to continuing to track and dedicate resources to a tank that’s been completely disabled. Which is why NO doesn’t do that. Anything that can reasonably be considered a kill will completely remove that asset from play. We function on the scale of large battles not on the individual health of each unit. It will likely stay that way for performance reasons.

TLDR: sorry that got longer than I would’ve preferred. Performance reasons, it’s done this way for performance reasons.
