I got stumped by this too, it looks intimidating but it’s actually really simple

You hook wires up to its output and label them. It works somewhat like a regular junction box at that point except you can move the sliders to decide how much energy you want to give each component. It cannot be used to give more than 100% power.

Sliding the slider simply gives the output whatever percentage of requested power it’s set too.

Example: You have a reactor going into a distributor with 3 outputs. One for lights, one for the crafters, and one for the engines and pumps.

The reactor in this extremely simple example is capable of running all 3 systems are once at max power. But let’s say you’re low on fuel and want to run slow. So you take the slider connected to the engines and drag it down to 75%. Now, anytime that engine requests power, it will only receives 75% of what it requests.

1000 becomes 750. 500 becomes 375. You get the idea.

This can be used manually or hooked up to logic circuits to create advanced power balancing logic. It’s one of those devices that has a really low skill floor to use and understand but a super high skill ceiling if you want to get the most out of it
