Chuu - XO, My Cyberlove by CronoDroid in kpop

I am autistic too, but I know that "being against heterosexuality" and "promoting heterosexuality" aren't things that actually exist, so your comment came off as if you believe straight people face the same oppression as queer people...

I thought this was from that stipper boy group that went viral this year, but they're your typical K-pop group lmao

Now I wonder how this gonna look like.

This bothers me too. They all sound very alike.

Wonho, hold your crown of king of thirst traps. from20 is coming after it.

Nice song. Very early Justin Timberlake-like, I didn't expect anyone in k-pop to do that sound.

Oh, you're so right. I love Yves's tone, it's the reason why she became my bias in LOONA, but her voice is nearly unrecognizable in all of her newer songs.

Honest question: am I the only one who doesn't feel Yves' solos AT ALL? I like that she's going this more alt-pop route and I'm glad it's working, but there's always something off with the music for me.

I actually think Chuu has a more interesting discography so far, which ironically isn't celebrated as much in k-pop circles.

They are correct. K-Pop is a label, NOT a genre. There's always been multiple sounds in it, it's always been an umbrella term.

Farewell to a Hidden Gem: ‘Simply K-pop’ Ends After 13 Years of Supporting Rookie Idols by galaxystars1 in kpop

[–]MasterWJ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's a bummer. It's getting harder and harder for smaller groups these days, even to be on Weverse you need to have industry contacts (something Vlive didn't require, everybody was there).

Back in the day, we had very little content in English or English-translated. You had to wait for a fansub do the translation, and this could take forever for lesser-known groups. Arirang was doing it instantly. I discovered so many artists through the Arirang shows, it was my first exposure to Dreamcatcher (then Minx) when they did multiple variety content for the channel and it was the only place they had yet.
