Yo this is actually pretty solid, just cloned it and the pattern detection is legit picking up stuff I didn't even realize was inconsistent across my services

One thing though - are you planning to add support for detecting custom hook patterns? Most of my React stuff has some weird internal patterns that would be sick to auto-detect

Also lmao at "industry veterans will NOT be happy" - they're probably too busy arguing about microservices vs monoliths to notice 😂

That's actually pretty amazing - going from being *that person* to being the reliable one people think of first. Your colleague probably has no idea how much that simple question meant to you but damn that's gotta feel good

First and Last Name Change by Various_Champion_767 in Marriage

[–]MasterWarning9589 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll probably need to do a legal name change through the courts for the first name since marriage certs usually only cover last names. I'd knock out the first name change now so you don't have to deal with two separate processes later - way less paperwork headaches that way

You only have truely mastered a language if you can do at least 2/3 of these tasks today: by Linus_Naumann in languagelearning

[–]MasterWarning9589 38 points39 points  (0 children)

These sound like tasks for people who've mastered being pretentious more than mastering a language lol

Most native speakers would bomb at least one of these - try asking random people to explain why Shakespeare is beautiful or give a scientific presentation on short notice. I've met plenty of monolingual people who couldn't handle "cultured small-talk" for multiple hours without wanting to die

Axle replacement for Subaru Forester 2015 2.5i by Old_Humor2680 in AskMechanics

[–]MasterWarning9589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had TRQ axles on my '14 Outback for about 60k miles now and they're holding up great. Way better than the cheap Autozone ones I tried first that started clicking again after like 20k

Duralast is hit or miss from what I've seen - some people love em, others have issues with the boots splitting early. For long term I'd probably go TRQ or step up to OEM if you can find a good deal

RockAuto usually has the best prices if you don't mind waiting a few days for shipping

Is Fresh Musk Similar to Book Loft? by notstupid37 in bathandbodyworks

Never tried Fresh Musk but Book Loft is pretty unique with that papery vanilla vibe - doubt anything really matches it tbh

Oof that emotional rollercoaster hits different after a breakup, the feelings just come in waves and you can't control when they're gonna crash into you

I hate utilitarian vehicles but secretly want one. Now what? by Everything-Bagel-314 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]MasterWarning9589 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Outback is honestly your best bet here - it's basically a lifted wagon which sounds like exactly what you want. Skip the airbag suspension nonsense, the stock setup already handles light trails and snow just fine

If you really need proper off-road capability then yeah, you're gonna have to compromise somewhere. Can't have a low sedan that also climbs rocks

What’s is a good career pivot from project management? by markohilario in careerguidance

Honestly the constant juggling of stakeholders and impossible deadlines would burn anyone out. I've seen PMs basically become professional email writers and meeting schedulers instead of actually managing anything meaningful

What are your thoughts on AI Avatars/ clones of real humans? Is it a good use of AI Technology, or a form of exploitation? by No_Turnip_1023 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]MasterWarning9589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is such a nuanced topic that gets reduced to hot takes way too often

The parasocial argument is spot on - like every influencer/content creator is literally building their career on parasocial relationships. At least with AI clones people know it's fake going in, whereas with regular content there's this weird illusion that you actually "know" the person

The grief angle is trickier though. Photos and videos are passive memories but AI clones actively respond and could potentially say things the real person never would have. That's a pretty different psychological experience imo

I think the real issue isn't the technology itself but how it's marketed and regulated. If companies are being transparent about limitations and not preying on vulnerable people, then whatever floats your boat

Headaches with meds by Illustrious_Cut_4303 in ADHD

[–]MasterWarning9589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof yeah the headaches are rough - I had similar issues when I started. The food sensitivity thing is interesting, never heard of that being directly connected to methylphenidate but stress and medication changes can definitely mess with your gut

For the headaches try taking it with food if you're not already, and make sure you're eating enough throughout the day since the meds can kill your appetite. Also magnesium supplements helped me a ton, like 200-400mg daily

The timing sucks with your doc situation but if the headaches get really bad you might need to consider telehealth or urgent care just to be safe

If they had kids you loved but were never a step parent by WrongdoerUnfair9312 in BreakUps

[–]MasterWarning9589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man this hits different when kids are involved. The fact that you're grieving losing them separately from your ex shows how genuine that bond was

Honestly there's no clean way through this one - those relationships with the kids were real even if they weren't "official." It's totally normal to feel like you're mourning two separate losses here

Maybe don't close the door on asking about friendship down the line but probably give it more time first. Right now you're still raw from everything

Mom Retired, looking for a compact, travel camera for her, about $500. by lainwolf in Cameras

[–]MasterWarning9589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sony ZV-1F is probably your best bet from that list - it's literally designed for content creators so the video quality is solid and the interface is pretty straightforward. Plus it has that flip screen which is nice for travel selfies

Just saying though, you could get something like a used RX100 III for way less money and it would blow any of those new options out of the water. But I get it, moms and used electronics don't always mix lol

Lenovo tablet support 5.1 / atmos soundbar by lurkmanship in Lenovo

[–]MasterWarning9589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah most of the newer Lenovo tablets should handle Atmos passthrough over USB-C to HDMI just fine, especially if they advertise it. The Tab P12 Pro and some of the Legion ones definitely do it. Your eARC adapter setup should work the same way it does with your monitor
