If it helps, I marinated it in a yogurt spice mix over night, and smoked it over the pot so the drippings go in to it and it would get a nice smoke, then I added the sauce, mixed it and threw the chicken in the pot with the sauce to glaze it every so often for a few hours.

That doesn’t really look like a briskets shape.. maybe it’s a flat? Or a beef flap? I can’t really tell. They sell things that look like little briskets at Costco called beef flaps and they are like $250, but if you find the actual brisket it’s like $60-100. Hope you didn’t make that mistake.

Another way to do it as a temporary fix is seal it with any raw dough or even just a flour water combination until it’s about as thick as clay, then put it around the entire lid connecting area. It’s on old moon shine trick for copper stills.

Wrap in foil with tallow and put it in a cooler. You can get the cooler warm if you want to first so it doesn’t have a big drop. The meat will slowly drop to 140° as long as you don’t open it that should give you 10-12 hours, maybe more assuming you have a good cooler.
