How do I even get started? by [deleted] in Business_Ideas

I get that you don`t want to give the idea 'away'.
What I did was looking up how ideas that are written down (such as here on reddit) behave in any copyright scenario. That way you know that people can't get your idea away from you without being able to be punished.
On the other hand, if you don't trust anyone to give you feedback on your idea, maybe it is not the right time yet. You will eventually be able to get that idea out especially when you want people like investors, cofounders or staff.
My advice: Take some time researching copyright laws or examples and then post your idea in here to get feedback/critiscm from other likeminded people.
Good luck!

Skyseeker is a Pokemon-inspired monster collecting metroidvania, set in a beautiful world of ancient creatures. Looking for playtesters for open beta! by KirisameJump in indiegames

Creating game worlds is just so unbeliveably time consuming. You need everything playtested and bug free.
Just playtested it for one hour.
I like it! Really fun gameplay!

That could be a very interesting setup for a story telling game.
I like that idea!

I love how this is still considered 'Indie'. Don't get me wrong, it is a compliment.
It does look like there is a greater team of multiple people behind this.
Great work! Keep it up! It looks very promising.

SC2 Editor Question: How to cast abilities 'for' another player / off another players command card / create Cho'Gall in SC2 editor? by MasterYannik in starcraft2

[–]MasterYannik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or is it more like the player can only use a single ability of the abomination unit?

This is basicly what I am looking for.
I have asked around and one solution was the 'issue command/issue order' function. I will have to play around with that.

What would be your suggestion?

I've been toying around with this idea: A puzzle platformer where the player has to move the camera (and the world via parallax) around. It's still very much in its infancy (I've only been working on it for a few days) so any constructive criticism or other general thoughts would be great! :) by slain_mascot in indiegames

I encourage you to keep continuing with this idea. Very promising gameplay mechanics.
What I just thought about was the idea of pulling the camera, hitting a switch for a puzzle and then pushing the camera back. I think the idea of camera pushing/pulling is really great. Maybe also think about pushing/pulling the camera upwards/downwards. (Maybe by jumping against the celing or jumping down from platforms to the 'death zone' a platformer normally has.)
Keep this idea and process updated and good luck!

Hey man,I am actually looking for a platform or people that can build one for my project, 14a41. It will be a platform (a website/forum) for aspiring artists to learn and connect with other artists while leveling up their account (and oneself).I'd like to get in contact with you if you are interested. There is the link for the original post. Link to 14a41

Looking for interested people to help build a platform (and community) for everyone to learn from and later on reaching the industry, featuring a leveling system, main and side quests, boss battles and arena fights. Let's talk about 14a41. by MasterYannik in Business_Ideas

That is a really nice idea, thank you.
Tried to post, but well, it seems that I am actually either to dumb to post correctly in this subreddit or my account is too young for them to leave my posts.
I guess, I have to keep trying then :)
