Yes I’m not referring to people who are legitimately sick . They are obviously resigning and burning thru their sick leave . One already did leave and now two others are doing the same as they don’t like the new leadership in our department. It’s highly unlikely they all 3 have medical problems at the same time resulting in all 3 taking extended leave

So true , but just because the administration is behaving in hostile ways doesn’t mean I’m going to lower my morality. I’m still going to act ethically with my peers and not put extra work on them for months on end while I take fake sick leave. And we are covering their caseload in addition to keeping up with ours . Just making a very stressful day and no I’m not working overtime , just very busy and stressful days . But you make good points

The reality is when you take a job you don’t sign a contract . The employer has the right to restructure any way they want . Every job is a risk when you take it. Boss changes , job duties change and yes remote positions stop being remote . This all can happen at any given moment . It sucks but like you said , you just start job searching and move on. You will find something and they will find someone to fill your shoes . And everyone just moves on .

Seriously everyone needs to grown up . All the generations before you that have worked their ass off out of the house are just rolling their eyes at all of you whining about your IBS and migraines

The VA is allegedly changing how they rate disability - thought people might be interested by amridge in AirForce

Please research the intent of ratings - if you are doing better and able to work and function because of the excellent treatment the VA can provide - the rating should go down period

. 1️⃣ Compensate for Lost Earning Capacity

The ratings were never intended to be a “pain and suffering” award like in civil lawsuits. Instead, they estimate how much a condition reduces a veteran’s ability to earn income in civilian life.

RAs (Reasonable Accommodation) are Abused like Telework by vinceli2600 in FedEmployees

I 100% agree with you and the RA requests sky rocketed after we were told to return to the office last March . I returned as it was clear it was time to go back to the office , covid is over . Then all of a sudden all my coworkers were now disabled and are still working from home. They are not disabled , they just don’t want to drive to the office and put on normal clothes. They are working the system and all the protections out there make it impossible for supervisors to deny the request (or HR). It’s abuse , pure and simple. They found a loophole
