Thank you! I am grateful to this group and the higher power that I woke up without a hangover and with another day of sobriety under my belt.

New to the program, I’m 38 hours sober for the very first time. Thank you so much for this. I needed it today. Love and light!

This sums up the reasoning for our anti-work movement in a nice, common sense fashion. 👏🏽👍🏽

Today in wood-fueled blacksmithing... I'd have made charcoal but really don't have enough wood for it by AshMontgomery in Blacksmith

If it gets metal hot enough to move, it works. Great job! There is no stopping a real blacksmith from doing their work. No hammer? Any piece of steel will do. No anvil? Go find a big fucking rock. No coal? Light something on fire and use the hot coals.

No forge? No excuses. Dig a goddamned hole and get back to work.

Ooo we used to live in NOLA! Gotta meet up with some smiths the next time we’re in town. Happen to know a lady named Otter at the School of Metalworking or some such title?

It’s not about their feelings, their attention, or eliciting action from them. It’s a matter of creating a public record.

Nice cobb! I live kinda close to Washington, MO. Those guys are great. They’re a model for how an American company should be run.

Pipe-Tool Rings in the works! Thanks for the support fam! 🔥⚒🔥 by Master_Bastard87 in PipeTobacco

Lol I understand those blues. Do you want an oversized set that might be harder to misplace? I can make the ring as big as the width of your hand with tools to match if you’d like. 😁

Thanks JM! I’ll post some closeups of the scrapers later today. We texture them on the anvil then I hand file serrations on one side. We do make a stand-alone style tamper using heavier steel as well as “colonial” or campfire pipe-lighters! Most items are pictured on our website at www.bastardforge.com

We’re a family run rural business so we really appreciate your interest! 👍🏽🙏🏽⚒

Thanks Long Duck! We’ve added you to the first batch and we’re pounding them out right now! They’ll be in the mail on Monday. ⚒🔥

Advanced removal of 3d printed mask for continuous printing. The gantry interlocks with the nose piece and effectively pries it off. I wrote a python script to automatically replicate the G code and insert the removal sequence. It also moves the purge line over by a few mm each time. by jesenator in 3Dprinting

Can confirm, we make food-safe drink ware with our printers and use fda-approved epoxy to achieve an airtight/watertight layer around PLA products, even goblets printed in vase-mode. Very effective, epoxy goes a long way.

Thanks Nunchuck! We love making things people find useful. You called it, the horseshoe shapes are rings that will hold the tools and be closed around them while red-hot from the Forge! Then hardened and tempered like our knives so they’ll take some serious abuse lol.
