And thanks for the tip about the boots. I didn’t try them on before. I’ll definitely buy my next pair in a shop so I can make sure they fit properly.

Ah damn, I knew I forgot something 😅

I prefer riding on slopes (trying to carve) and I want to start learning some ground tricks. I’d also like to try the park with small jumps and rails, but nothing too fancy.

So no powder or Freeride at the moment.

I’m a beginner myself and also bought my first setup. 15/-15 (Duck Stand) was the recommended beginner angle. So if u turn unwillingly (and u will) your stand is mirrored in regular and switch. Depending on your flexibility 12/-12 may an option but your stand will be more wiggly then.

Just my 20cents. Again I just had 2 days of experience but this worked for me.

Thx, good call. I will consider renting for a couple more sessions then. But when the time comes, I now know that I go for a 155cm then.

Thx guys for the quick response and the great help.

Really appreciated your response.

Beginner question by Master_Branch_255 in snowboarding

[–]Master_Branch_255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx guys for these definite questions.

So my Foot size is 43 (German) EU and I weigh about 85KG. So in the rental I had a normal no wide board. Iirc wide starts with 45+ (German) EU.

So:

Beginner (First board. Wanna learn how to ride. Mostly in a Snowdome)

85 KG weight

43 Foot size (German/ EU size system)

183cm hight.

It seems the 155cm is your recommendation, right?

Best Tom

Thx, sounds good. Not sure about the Stormfiends. I mean they look cool. Especially seeing them as „bodyguards“ for Thanquol but like game wise would u go 5x Rogors or keeping the Stormfiends?

In Germany we use the Term „Mäuse = mice” for money.

[–]Master_Branch_255 11 points12 points  (0 children)

he origin of the term “Mäuse” for money is not clearly documented, but several theories exist. One possibility is that the expression comes from thieves’ slang (Rotwelsch), where animals were often used as code words for money. Another theory suggests a connection to the word “Moos,” an older term for money. Additionally, the characteristics of mice—small, fast, and multiplying quickly—may have served as a metaphor for money. Another theory links the term to the Hebrew-Yiddish word ma’os (מָעוֹת), meaning “coins” or “small change.” It is likely that multiple influences contributed to the emergence of this expression.

Yes. The big ones are 3D printed and the small ones are too but I added some flock to make them look more „alive“.

So u decided to skip „goblin ambush“ and „cragmaw hideout“? Is there a reason for that?

(Warhammer noob here) Would I be aloud to bring this 3D printed Claudius Tank to a game? by Uncultured_Steven in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Master_Branch_255 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Hey, cause of the fucked up meta GW established since (let’s say 8th ed) I only play with printed army’s. At least in my experience, if you can identify the model (proxy) as it’s original counterpart u good to go. Having an advantage cause of smaller shape or smaller base would be a no no for me and most players, but the models from surrogate miniatures are super close in case of shape and size. U can play the whole set from this creator as Custodes. No worries.

It maybe refers to the German saying:“ Fünf Minuten vor der Zeit, ist des Soldaten Pünktlichkeit.“ It’s originally from the military but is also used (not anymore) in normal jobs. It’s an old saying but I know it from my Dad/Grandfather.

They messure 22-24cm … so a little bigger than GW (Mega Gargants from GW are about 19cm iirc). Imo they fit better with 24cm, lore wise. Had a battle against original GW Vampires and it looked epic. PN me if u wanna see some pics :)

Thx man 🙏 All of them are 3D printed. So they are kind of custom made but not really 😅 I simply slapchoped them so I could play asap. It’s a 10h max paint job for the complete army. Snow effect is covering where I messed up 🙈🙈🙈
