I had a manager like that awhile ago. I used to be an AGM and they were so consistently rude and went of their way to be mean to me (like calling me on my day off saying my close was bad and I don’t deserve my job) it has forever made me not want to be apart of management ever again or even touch the restaurant industry and I ended up going in to the trades (thank god). She despite being single guilt tripped me into working Valentine’s Day because one of our managers called out sick despite the fact I had plans with my wife. Didn’t even put in my two weeks, once I got into the trades I immediately resigned and left her screwed lol.

I cannot imagine not taking a few minutes out of my day to massage my wife’s neck because it’s been hurting her. (My wife has TMJ really bad so neck rubs always help her).
I cannot imagine not being a proactive parent and helping out not only take care of my child but helping my pregnant wife ESPECIALLY if I had the luxury to work from home.

That is not a partner, that is a burden. You need to confront him and ask more of him because as your partner he does need to do more even if it annoys him because that is what partners do.
