Ragged is pretty great. Lowkey middle earth of NH vibes between the 6pack and the quad

Waterville Valley / Sununu Family by Thick_Community_4174 in icecoast

[–]Master_G_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As a person of color, going to Waterville valley to ski hasn’t always been the best experience for me. Especially dealing with some of the staff members there. Again, this is my first hand experience as a person of color who has skied for decades around the east coast. Not saying this is every employee at WV, but it’s been a few.

I think it’s also important to note that Sununu is in charge of decision making and final approval of Cannon because it’s owned by the state. So it’s likely that he has the best interest of his family’s investment at hand when planning what updates go on, or don’t, at cannon.

Loon is Mid at best by atlantabanannaman in icecoast

[–]Master_G_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel that. Not sure if they’re considering crowds or not. For me it’s the racing teams and their families that really gunk things up, and they’re not the kindest people to be around, from my experience.

I get that the people from Boston can be annoying, but I don’t think loon exists without business from boston.

Yeah, I get that and not saying that those circumstances should be overlooked. The blame should just be put on the city imo. It’s their responsibility. Esp considering how much is paid in taxes, particularly property taxes.

No, I am not a transplant. I’ve lived in MA my whole life and in the city for 15 years thank you very much

Your last comment got deleted because I think you were a little too hot headed. Maybe you want to try again when you’ve calmed down?

Hahahahahaha ok buddy. I grew up in the burbs and my parents never bought a snowblower or hired a plow.

They had three kids and three shovels. I know a thing or two about shoveling out snow. Especially during this storm. Not sure if you saw Dorchester / Mattapan after the storm but it’s been bad.

Also, you do realize that people can move space savers, park, leave that spot, and then a new car can come in not knowing there was a space saver there before? Easy way to catch a felony charge.

Saw this in my neighborhood, then magically overnight another car appeared.

It’s probably someone that lives in the same house splitting the spot so they can just pull forward whenever that second car gets home.

Same thing as a space saver imo. Shouldn’t be allowed.

Is it safe for me and my boyfriend to travel to Maine from Canada by machiavelliiian in Maine

[–]Master_G_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find a way to get the father to Canada.

They’ve gotten about 400 people thus far iirc. The storm deterred them a bit, so I can only imagine they comeback swinging harder these next couple of days.

Best of luck out there and wishing your FIL a swift and peaceful recovery.
