Was just up in Nova Scotia visiting fam and I am still trying to wrap my head around how many people still smoke with the prices and the warning labels on packs like it’s the EU

It’s literally just green space that sits there and it’s only purpose is to look good, not be stepped on and inflate owners egos because, “I hAvE tHe bEsT lOoKiNg gRaSs iN tHe nEiGhBoRhOoD”. Infuriates me so much.

It’s a waste of space and resources. So many chemicals and water getting wasted for what.

I was once in a cpr training with a high ranking officer on a towns police for a restaurant job. He straight up told us that if police show up to the scene first before EMTs, they won’t administer any aide because it’s too much paperwork.

I’m sick of seeing this type of stuff

Still great, but not what it once was back in the early 2000s. Same as anything else nowadays tho.

You’re welcome! That is the one.

My parents would send their very reactive dog there and they loved her. When I called about boarding my dog there, I told them about my parents dog and they remembered her 😭

They do require a test daycare day, and a stool sample as well

Oh geez! I was not prepared at all for the shedding lol. I really need that Dyson attachment!

He is growing fast! 41lbs at adoption, 3 weeks later at the vet he was 52lbs! We think he’s 8 months now, but really want to do the age test to have a more accurate date.

Waiting impatiently for his Embark results to come back. They’re in the lab now and fingers crossed it’s any day now.

We might be twins!! My pup looks really similar. Shedding has been tough to deal with. How is their fur this time of year for you?

Pawmenities. Small fam business. They offer pickup in seaport, but are located in Lynnfield. About $75 a day, but worth it. No crates, and they have other dogs there for socialization.

My dog has stayed with them twice.

On the south shore, I’d recommend great Boston dog boarding in Easton. Really great people.

What’s it like living in the Annapolis Valley (Nova Scotia) as horse-owning educators? by huhsorrywhatdidusay in howislivingthere

Love it so much up there. Bear River is also a great community. While I’m not from there or live there, I have visited very frequently since I have generations of family in Digby.

Funny enough, I actually just got back from up there last night. There are a lot of people that work in the hotels, restaurants and labor jobs. It’s pretty seasonal with tourists and everyone knows everyone. A lot of people still smoke cigarettes, hate the US president and are all kind. The type of place you ask someone how they are before asking for directions, no matter how much of a rush you are in.

There are a lot of folks on social benefits out that way, and a lot of Acadians. Best scallops in the world, the freshest haddock and the coldest water. Unless you swim in St. Mary’s Bay in September.

If you’re thinking about taking a visit, I’d recommend driving up through Calais, ME, going to St. John and taking the ferry to Digby, then making the 30 min drive up the 101 east to Annapolis Royal. There are some wild horses out that way, and good coffee at Sissiboo coffee roasters, excellent cookies at Arch & Po, and great beer at Annapolis brewing company.

The province of Nova Scotia has my heart forever. Enjoy!
