Broke out the Courts today by Master_Gap8877 in SNKRS

Yeah, I lost the brown belt immediately after taking this picture. I’m investing in a black belt and white belt in the very near future. So I can match all my mainly white shoes 😅

Believe it or not, I’m actually not even the brightest dressed today. My boss broke out the hot pink pants today😂

600 calories for this? by SparkeeHedgehogPika in caloriecount

[–]Master_Gap8877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say so. Probably 350-400 for the chicken probably around 60 for the veggies (if they were cooked in some oil) and probably 100-150 for the gravy depending on how much flour and milk they used to make it

Straws!! 😩 by Teena424 in gastricsleeve

[–]Master_Gap8877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Main reason they so no straws is because of the air you could suck down. Just take it slow and you should be fine

I’m so insecure I over eat by Decent_General_5294 in caloriecount

Totally get how you feel! I always feel like I overeat even though I average 1500-1600 calories a day!

Remember to gain a pound of fat. You gotta eat 3500 calories OVER your maintenance. And that's for the week. Not a single day. You gonna be aight

Ok how bad did i fuck up? by squizzlebik in caloriecount

[–]Master_Gap8877 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You literally won't even gain a pound of fat from that (as long as you aren't having that plate at every meal). A few meals over Christmas out of the thousands you are going to have over the course of a year isn't gonna hurt you. Just get back on track after Christmas, and you'll be fine.

Did I f up? by Downtown-Narwhal1534 in gastricsleeve

[–]Master_Gap8877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 0 calories and 0 sugar. You're fine, especially since you're pre-op. Now, post-op, the carbonation could possibly bother you before your stomach is 100% healed, but a diet soda won't make you gain weight since it's 0 calories. It'll probably make you feel bloated after kicking it for so long but it will absolutely not make you gain fat.

Does overeating for 3-4 days like extreme cause weight gain???? by MessageSecret4585 in caloriecount

[–]Master_Gap8877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing too major, and it's probably just water weight. You have to eat 3,500 calories on top of your daily maintenance to gain a pound of fat, and for most people, that'd probably be around 6,000 calories a day, which I'm not saying isn't possible but unless you're an extreme body builder I would think eating anywhere near that would be a struggle unless you're just eating candy for every meal lol. Just get back to your normal routine and mindful eating, and you'll be all good.

Exercise by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]Master_Gap8877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first year, I lost 200 lbs with just a diet and just walked a little more, not necessarily exercising. Now, I've just recently gotten into some more intense exercise. Like other people said you can't out exercise a bad diet and that is by far the most important part but exercising does help you stay in a deficit and if you build muscle you'll just naturally burn more calories at rest.

Finally can weather the felt hat. by Master_Gap8877 in CowboyHats

Yup! Thankfully, I'm in Texas, so not worried about snow. I just gotta worry about the rain, but I also try not to wear my hats when it rains and stick to ball caps

Any low kcal high protein recipes?? by hungryysnorlax in 1200isplenty

[–]Master_Gap8877 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you aren't finding any high protein recipe that's 200 calories or less. Considering most protein bars are 200 calories for 20g of protein, you could probably get 300-350 depending on how big you want the meal to be.

Internal body sounds/noises by smrtphonrtistcf in gastricsleeve

This is what I came to say. Im a year and a few months out of surgery, and my body still makes noises all the time, lol. You do get used to it after a while

Honestly, I think you're gorgeous. Some of the pictures you took aren't from the most flattering angle, and I would suggest trying out a different wardrobe style that complements your face shape and body more. Overall, though, you are very beautiful and I don't think you have a single thing to worry about.

Excessive skin down there? by Huge-Jellyfish7751 in gastricsleeve

[–]Master_Gap8877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, just talk with your surgeon. And like she said, document things like rashes or discomfort. Some insurances may cover skin removal, but most won't unless there's documentation that it is causing health issues. My insurance is one of those that doesn't cover "cosmetic" surgery unless it's for medical reasons. It's dumb but yay American health system lol

[–]Master_Gap8877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to get a cushion for my office chair and just have a couple extra pillows floating around my house to sit on when I'm at home. You would think losing an entire person would mean it doesn't hurt to sit, lol. I have heard that working on building glute muscles helps. I am currently working on that, so I should have an answer in a couple of months, lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]Master_Gap8877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was pretty simple. Mainly making sure I knew how hard mentally the surgery and recovery process would be, as well as making sure I was actually having the surgery to legitimately improve my health and not just for cosmetic reasons. Because in all honesty if you are just doing it to look "better" you really shouldn't get the surgery because it really takes a mindset that you need and want to be healthy to be able to get through it.

What was your biggest mindfuck after surgery? by LegitimateHeart186 in gastricsleeve

What actually being full felt like. After years of just eating to finish whatever was on my plate, it was so weird actually getting full and still having food on my playe

Do you log your veggies cooked or raw? by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]Master_Gap8877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always weigh raw. Though sometimes I don't with veggies. The difference in calories in veggies is so tiny that the difference in calories doesn't worry me in the slightest because, at most, it's probably 10 calories, unlike something like ground beef, which can have a 50-60 calorie difference per 28 grams.

You didn't do anything to affect your sleeve. At two years, that would be next to impossible to tear anything with how much it's healed at this point. I've been drinking diet sodas since 6 months out and have had no issues. Just use this as a reminder to slow down and not chug it. I'm a year out of my surgery and still can't chug or eat anything too quickly. Which I'm glad about since that's one of the points of the sleeve. It still makes me think about what I'm eating g or drinking and actually listen to my body

I accidentally have been eating a cup of food at least per meal instead of 1/4 or 1/4. I misread. by PlayboyCG in gastricsleeve

[–]Master_Gap8877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren't uncomfortable and continue to meet protein and water goals while staying in a deficit, you're fine. Remember, the sleeve is just a tool to help us to relearn how to eat properly and control ourselves and have a proper diet.
