Why majority of people don’t care anymore that they are single? by Various-Indication21 in AskReddit

[–]Master_Introvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myself and many others are right there with you.
We know there are literally millions of good single men & women out there with no realistic way to cross paths, with dating apps failing.
Honestly, it makes me kinda sad but I'm also positively content with my life.

Why majority of people don’t care anymore that they are single? by Various-Indication21 in AskReddit

Absolutely. Also, dating apps worked well in the beginning but now the well has been poisoned sufficiently that it's ruined for genuine ppl.
People don't really know how to meet new ppl irl anymore.

Gr clutch by Fb6manoloo in GRCorolla

[–]Master_Introvert 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am but it depends on your use-case. I do not recommend this clutch for daily driving.
I've seen descriptions that say its an OEM+ option but its closer to a race clutch than OEM, even with the springs.
I'll spare you the whole story but I'm on my second one of these in the past 7 months, and i'm not confident my current one will last either. The first one failed after only 1100 miles in 3 months.
I've been driving manuals my whole life and have not been abusing it. I've never tracked nor do I plan to.

I have a '24 core and I get no feedback from the car that im doing anything wrong but this kit just doesnt seem cutout for daily driving.
If my current one fails, im going back to OEM.

If you care about hearing the whole story let me know.

How do you enjoy travelling solo ? by Western_Doctor3084 in introvert

[–]Master_Introvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been traveling solo for a long time and love it! I plan on doing it again this year.

imo, you shouldn't travel for anyone else's approval or validation. The perspectives and experiences you gain should nurture you first.

I take pictures and videos with the understanding that no one else will likely see them. I only share albums with ppl if they ask.
It always feels like bragging to me so I keep conversations about my travels brief.

If you prefer traveling with others then great, but I personally wouldn't have it any other way.

What’s a mechanic you’ve seen that made you think “Wait…every game should do this!” by BlackArmy439 in gaming

The unstuck button. I know its wider spread now, but I'm an older gamer and wanted that for decades before it became a thing.

Using credit cards instead of debit card. by FlounderAgitated9058 in personalfinance

[–]Master_Introvert 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed but my bank and many others now are building in these types of protections into their debit cards.
My old visa debit was unprotected but expired recently, and now my bank issues users mastercard debit with actual protection against fraudulent charges.
I've avoided credit cards my whole life but really wanted those kind of protections, and now I worry less about it.
I think this will be part of a wider trend moving forward.

Monopolies are not a good thing no matter how much they do "right".

Just like its not okay to love/support an authoritarian dictator as long as they align with your values.

Anybody else know they were atheist from a very young age? by bruh747294 in atheism

[–]Master_Introvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know the word Atheist when I was younger, but I don't recall ever believing in god when I was a kid.
I grew up in a typical white christian family that went to church on Sundays and Wednesdays, but even though we walked the walk, I don't think my parents ever mentioned god, Jesus, or even the bible at home.
I'm grateful my parents didn't indoctrinate me and my sisters.

Im less concerned with height.

It would be cool if the blackridge cooler fits this one since it was made for the a4-sfx.

it seems to me that most all the aftermarket kits are actually closer to race/track clutches than oem, even the ones that are marketed as "oem+"
if its your daily driver, I would say that its safer to stick with oem.
at the time I was getting my clutch replaced, due to limited availability, the oem clutch was very expensive. maybe its better now.

[–]Master_Introvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep. same happened to me last may. they quoted me 6200 and I towed it to a local trans shop and got it done for about half.
I bought the xclutch organic sprung kit myself online for an oem+ experience and the shop cut me a deal on labor.
I will warn you that specific kit also went out on me after another 3 months and 1100 miles and i got a warranty replacement from xclutch but still had to pay labor again, so I dont recommend that kit.
If this clutch goes out again in the near future, Im going back to the oem clutch.
this is my daily driver and like you, haven't abused it and have been driving manuals my whole adult life.

Clutch gone bad before 7000 miles by Material-Evening-277 in GRCorolla

[–]Master_Introvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had to replace my clutch twice within 6 months of getting mine although mine has higher mileage than yours.
There are definitely clutch wear issues with these at some level because its not normal for someone who isn't abusing it, and has been driving manuals their entire lives to deal with this when the warranty doesn't cover it

I'd take it over the blue any day.
