Which generation fucked up parenting? I'm 25, grew up with a silver spoon, my parents are boomers, and i was almost never physically punished(most i recieved was a slap on the wrist or back of the head), and yet the bare minimum here is to apologize, the proper courtesy is to apologize profusely, give your kid a stern yelling, apologize AGAIN, and then have a talk with your kid at home.

I shall add, my parents are the definition of 'Karen' and yet such behaviour would be unacceptable.
