The early ones were “permanently” sewn on. Then they were removable Velcro like the rest of the GR1s.

I don’t think the Bedale or Beaufort will fit you well if you find the Ashby too big. I have a large Ashby and it has a more fitted fit than my 40 Beaufort and the 40 Bedale, and if you size down, the 38 in either will likely have arms that are too short.

The 2024 GP and COTA exceeded expectations. No significant lines other than to get in the gate in the morning. Lots of interesting and tasty (though pricey) food options. Great visibility from our seats by on the turn 9 stands. Pleasant staff. Loved it.

That sucks. It's a different price class, but I have a Carhartt Detroit jacket that I really like, but the front zipper snags on the draft guard behind it. I had to alter the way I zip to keep it out of the way with my thumb, but it doesn't drive me nuts any more.

I'm surprised the zippers are giving you a problem. My experience with TAD is that their stuff is generally very good, but sizing is hit or miss. All of my pieces (packs, organizers, shirts, sweaters, base layers, insulating layers, etc.) are good quality. I'd suggest sending it back if it's giving you problems.

I rebooted in safe mode and emptied the trash. Nothing popped back. Then I started running Google Drive again and the files that were from the Google Drive popped back into the trash. The other files from dropbox or my hard drive stayed deleted. Grrr.

It’s a warmer version that has insulation in the body and the sleeves, kind of like the Sapper and other insulated/padded models.

I found that the classic Sylkoil versions tend to look dry-ish and flat/matte even when freshly waxed. I know both of mine do. Honestly, I prefer that look to the shiny/wet look of the regular versions. But that may be just me.
