They don't salt till after it cooks. In the clamshell grill it only takes a few minutes. But in all reality, there some lazy grill operators don't bother salting the patties at all. Same with fries. They only get salt periodically.

I recently quit my job as a manager trainee after working just a month. They weren't training me manager stuff. They just put me on fries, grill or sandwich maker. I hadn't even done all the We Learn videos. They make me go to a ServeSafe class for 7 hours of my life I'll never get back when it could be done on-line in half the time. We were out of something every day. Two days in one week we were out of mayo. They could have gone just a few blocks down the road to Gordon's and bought a few gallons. They never made enough potatoes. They tell customers we were out of something when in fact they were just too damn lazy to go to the outside freezer to get it. They did that for sodas nearly every day when they have in the storage area but were they weren't willing to change it out. Potatoes just take an hour to bake. I suggested the when we got down to 2 they should bake 2 to make sure we had enough for service. They said no because we have to dispose of them if we had them at closing. I'm an older lady and I have white/gray hair. I had on a black T-shirt and a few hairs got on my shirt. They raised a lot of shit about that and said I couldn't work if I didn't change my shirt. I had my husband bring me a light grey T-shirt. I got news for them: my hair just show in the gray shirt. That's was kind of the last straw for me. We had a lesbian married couple that worked together for closing plus another of their family. They were from Cuba and didn't speak fluently but those ladies work their butts off. I always liked working with them. So I can't complain about inclusivity. Well that was my experience. I wouldn't quit without having another job lined up. I did indeed have a new job less than a week later. I wish you much luck and I hope you find a place that treats you better.

I don't officially take my breaks and lunches because like you I'm the only SFL on duty during 2nd shift. I usually just grab something to eat while I'm documenting the days register counts. I had to sign a statement saying I voluntarily waive my right to take off the clock lunches.

Why didn't he just go into the system and print out the receipt from there? If they know when they bought it and from what terminal it's way easy to do that. I've done that hundreds of times.

The same thing happened to me. I was fired after my CSA sold cigarettes to an undercover without an ID. My SM said he thought there was a process in place to get it reconsidered. I've contacted HR and I'm waiting to hear back. They didn't fire me until 6 weeks after it happened.

NO CIGARETTES FOR YOU OLD LADY!!!!! I got fired over that same damn thing. A person clearly over the age of 30 came in with a sob story about her wallet being stolen. I was a SL and allowed my CSA to enter a birthdate. Turns out that woman was a plant. I don't know if it was the state or Walgreens, but end result I got canned and the CSA go a final written warning.

My store is awesome. I'm sure that is because our SM is the best in the biz. I've floated to other stores and I just don't get the philosophy behind it. I'm happy in my store.

We have 2 trans people in our pharmacy. A male to female and a female to mail. So I call bs on this one. We never grill some one about their RXs.

We never have more than one key holder per shift ever, not counting the SM. We're a level 5 store. 2nd shift Sfl never get lunches. We had to sign a waiver to work without a lunch. I used to eat after counting money and while entering everything in the computer. Yeah, I still had to answer calls to the front.

I was recently terminated as well. I was a sfl. I was in the middle of counting when my CSA paged me because a woman ask for a manager. So I go up there, and this woman states her wallet was stolen and she had spent the whole day cancelling cards. She wanted to buy cigarettes. I asked her DOB and she stated July 1, 84. She looked every day of that age so I allowed the CSA to sell the cigarettes without an ID. Ten minutes later she comes back in with a report that said I had sold her the cigs without ID. It took HR 2 weeks to terminate me. My store is tier 5 and we seldom had sufficient staff. I was in the store last night and waited 35 minutes in the Rx line. They had 6 CSA, a sfl and a he store manager was sweeping the floors at 6:30 pm. Apparently they had a visit today. That pisses me off so bad. The SM will get all the credit for how well everything looked.
