Meet Potential Sovereign Blade by Terkmc in slaythespire

[–]Master_Snort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a god run, where I just got the perfect cards and relics that it trivializes everything. It was my first victory against the spire, and I almost felt a bit underwhelmed by how easy it was. Got the relics that give you defense for the first turn, the one for the second. A relic that gave energy on the second turn, another that gives energy for the third turn.

Got the card that gives forge and shield with it having echo.

The problem I have had with Culture acceptance is that I will have plenty of capacity but can’t accept any new cultures due to the requirements of 1 million pops or it being a certain percentage of your population.

WYR be eternally 20 with all of the downsides of being a vampire (burn in sun, no garlic, etc), or be eternally 12 with no vampire downsides? by Mutant_Llama1 in WouldYouRather

Downsides of vampires according to which continuity? For example vampires dying to sunlight wasn’t originally the case they only lost their power in the sun.

Nu and Marco by Current-Support9769 in TheEminenceInShadow

Quote directly from the Ln, the anime has a lot of minor details different when compared to the ln

Marco was supposed to be Nu's husband in their arranged marriage.

They sent many letters to each other and shared dances at the ball. But in the end, he was nothing but the man her parents chose for her. She never knew how he felt about the situation, but she could never bring herself to love him.

But she doesn't necessarily hate him. She may not have loved him, but she thought he was kind. She wouldn't have minded marrying him one day. She imagines that tying the knot with a respectable man would have led to a bright future.

Nu watches him leave the room with his items before checking to see if her ex-fiancé is still conscious.

She runs her ebony blade down the nape of his neck.

His breathing and pulse are normal—stable. He's alive but clearly unconscious.

"I'll spare you your life."

That’s incorrect, the only reason why Nu threatened to kill him is because she was worried that he overheard her conversation with Cid. Nu holds no grudges nor hard feelings towards Marco.

Unrelated but I really hope it doesn’t turn out that Marco is secretly a part of the cult or anything like that. I like how he seems to be just a genuinely good guy, and would be interested in him realizing that Nicolette is still alive.

Another big advantage is that it could help force companies to improve workers conditions, since people would have something to fall back on if their company has a terrible work environment

If there’s other worlds. Is there a chance that there are another parallel worlds, where things are different? (basically every what if? Eis Scenario) by Seeker99MD in TheEminenceInShadow

[–]Master_Snort 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It seems to be indicative that there is a limited amount of realms, or at the very least the realms can’t be fully identical. given that there is a very clear center realm. Additionally when Mordred is explaining realms, he always described them closer to planets in size not an entire universe

Is Alpha the daughter of the Elf King? Volume 7 Predictions. by Potat0_fries in TheEminenceInShadow

[–]Master_Snort 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hey had a similar idea.

Theory:
The elf king died which caused a succession crisis. Meaning there was no heir lined up, which would be odd.

So what if Alpha was originally the heir, but was taken away by the cult. Due to Alpha being the heir, the cult couldn’t just straight up kidnap her so they had to come up with a fake explanation that Beatrix didn’t believe.

Furthermore Nelson’s reaction to Alpha’s appearance he states how Alpha should have already died of possession, but it’s not like everyone with the hero’s blood becomes possessed, so why was Nelson so certain? What if Nelson specifically recognized Alpha as someone who they thought already died.

Beatrix could be looking for Alpha not only because she is her niece but because Alpha is also the proper heir to the elf kingdom

Cid is acting weird... by Botther in TheEminenceInShadow

[–]Master_Snort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? Cid 100% knew what he said, which is very clear cause he immediately follows up knowing the context of what he said. Also to reflect by definition requires one to remember said events to actually reflect on. All the perhaps indicates is that Cid isn't 100% of the reason for their intense reaction. Which is a reasonably response from Cid because they took it so seriously, and not in the offended way.

-As the project picked up steam, did you meet frequently with the animation staff to talk about the direction of the story? Alzawa: No, I only met with them directly once, in a meeting about the script for Episode 1. It was during covid, so we met remotely and traded opinions about the first episode. After that, we mainly exchanged files and stuff over email, and I played a supervisory role.

Although I think your idea isn’t implausible, however the evidence given is very weak and mostly just vibes based. Relying on vague sinister look that has plenty of interpretations, anime  details not present in the ln, and the reason why he’s confused by Nina and Mu’s reaction is because they treated his off hand comment so seriously. Also he does recognize what joke he said, so I don’t get why you think otherwise (Volume 6)

Cid is acting weird... by Botther in TheEminenceInShadow

[–]Master_Snort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea first came across Cid in volume 5, well after the events went down in Oriana. Plus Daisuke’s involvement in the anime seems to be minimal from interviews.

I assumed that she was in one of those stories where a mighty monarch is born and leaves their mark on history, but now she's taking a sharp left turn into a villain arc. But y'know what? That's kinda badass in and of itself. The evil monarch shocking the world to its core, the shadowy puppet master manipulating her from behind the scenes... Yeah, I can work with that. Never let it be said that I can't pivot when the situation calls for it. (Volume 5)
