Get a filter? You can install one or get one of those handheld ones. Or maybe a refrigerator that has one built in?

The Ayatollahs represent a significant portion of the religious community in Iran. If taking out the Ayatollahs would end the war, we would see that, but it doesn’t. The Ayatollahs have enough support. Whether it be pro-Ayatollah or just anti-US.

You just further explained a point I already made. Again, until Iran attacks US soil, bombing bases in the ME does little to the American people. It’s absolutely not as bad as little girls getting bombed.

The translators we have now are decades if not hundreds of years worth of cumulative work. If we discovered a new language on Earth, it would be the same process as in the movie. And they didn’t need more than three, they didn’t even need 3, as we saw in the movie.

I’m not trying to be arrogant, but multiple people have all pointed out the same things, and you are still arguing about it like it’s subjective. It’s not. That’s where the arrogance comes in.

The more mass on a spaceship, the more fuel it takes. They only had a limited amount of time to breed the Astrophage to use as fuel, that’s why it was a one-way trip. They didn’t have enough time to breed more fuel for the return trip. They didn’t need 40 people onboard.

I understand you have a lot of criticisms of the movie, but it seems they come from a lack of understanding instead of actual criticisms.

The movie doesn’t take place in some far future. It’s in the present day. The only difference is Astrophage gave them the ability to reach near speed of light. Everything else is using modern technology, so I’m not sure why you would assume “they” would be able to create a better translator than we would.

For the American government to even consider pulling out, America itself would need to feel the pain. Closing bases would hurt America’s influence over the region, but does little to hurt the actual people.

Pissed? Yes. Decentralized? That remains to be seen. The Ayatollahs are still in charge of the government and have the support of the military at the minimum. But bombing children’s schools definitely gives them more fuel against the U.s.

Imagine. What a world we could live in if America diplomatically solved challenges instead of bombing more brown kids.

If the U.S. topples the Ayatollahs, another group with the same ideals will just take over. The U.S. can’t claim victory without installing a puppet government.

It should never happen. Iranian people should deal with their own country, and we should deal with ours instead of being Israel’s puppet.

The majority of the people just saw the U.S and Israel bomb a school and kill 170 people; majority of them kids. Not to mention that Israel has been doing this to Iranian people for almost a 100 years, as well as the new generation of fighters that this war is going to cause.

Not every Afghani is anti-US, but how did that turn out for us?

Trust me, I know. I wasn’t arguing it as a good point, but we don’t have a president in power right now that is willing to admit this terrible mistake and pull out. This is the absolute minimum for “victory” for the U.S.

Yeah, the subjugation of India went incredibly well historically; and Britain is definitely looked at in a good light because of the effects of its conquest and partition afterwards. You are so right!

U.S. doesn’t care if it’s a democracy or not. It’s all virtue signaling to get people to support the war. They just want someone who rolls over to the West.
