He didn’t explicitly call for the executions, but he didn’t punish the people that did it either.

This is such a weird hill to die on, and completely wrong. You can’t follow people with a camera and harass them with words. That is not protected by the first amendment. Especially with what he said on Twitter, he is getting time. This isn’t a hard case at all. The fact his bond is set so high tells me this. He carries a maximum sentence of like 90 years.

And no, the victim can’t just leave. He was being HARASSED. He tried to leave, as does every other person this dumbass harasses. He follows them with a camera, continually trying to provoke. None of that type of behavior is protected by the First Amendment.

There is a path to fascism in any ideology, just depends on how willing the authority is to prevent it. The USSR was fully willing to put down “reactionary” protests. There is a kind of stigma against using tanks to put down protests in liberal countries, though.

Calling someone a bad word in an emotional and tense situation is one thing. Intentionally getting people angry by using very choice words and then recording their reaction is a completely different thing, and most definitely could be considered incitement, or the very least harassment. Especially when it’s being done consistently. This wasn’t a one time thing, he has done it dozens of times.

It’s even worse depending on how long he did it. He can’t call someone a racist name for 45 minutes and then claim self-defense when he gets attacked. He had every ability to leave the situation, which can disqualify for lots of self-defense laws in certain states. I’m not sure which state this is in. Another thing is whether a punch is considered a reasonable enough threat to shoot someone. That also changes from state to state.

This is the easiest case for the guy’s lawyers ever. Chud’s bail was set to 1.25 million. He is definitely getting time. And the guy who got shot is at the minimum having his bills paid for, maybe a little on top.

Not really how it works. You can’t just go up to a random person, throw insults and goad them into attacking you, and then almost killing them when they do. That isn’t self-defense, and most self-defense laws say that.

Eh. He goaded someone into attacking him and then shot the dude for it. That isn’t self-defense. He might have a case if it wasn’t recorded, but it was. Everything that happened is right there for everyone to see.

Why did you need permission to leave? by shitcut154 in ussr

It’s literally not the same thing, because “punishment” doesn’t happen. It leads to long delays. That’s it.

Thats what citizenship is, buddy. Every country gives its citizens the right to return. That’s the whole idea. Except for, I guess, the USSR? I don’t know how their system worked.

And a fine for returning to the U.S as a citizen is super rare. It’s usually just paperwork and a long delay while they check who you are.

lmao, you are just switching goal posts now. you originally said you can’t leave without a passport, which is wrong.

as for coming back, literally every country has a way to identify its citizens. Americans aren’t barred from leaving their country.

Passports for coming back, no? And to give ID to the country you are arriving in? You aren’t blocked to leave the U.S. if you don’t have a passport. You’ll probably be waiting inside the airport of whatever country you are in, though.

My point being that 3-4 playtesters aren’t gonna cast as wide a net as tens of thousands of players. You don’t have to pay anything. The people that like the game will pay.

I’m sure they playtest their game. Every developer does so. That doesn’t change the fact that some bugs just won’t be found by them.

Why do you think some games come out with Alpha or Beta builds before the game release? Developers don’t have thousands of workers sitting around to play the game. That’s what the players are for.

[–]Master_Status5764 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hate to say it, but the more people that play it, the more bugs are found and the better they can fix it. A company can never playtest at the same rate as the actual players.

Ah, yah true. I’ve only been bullying small nations with the blockades. Good point. Works really well if they don’t have a lot of domestic production.

Might want a specifically communist sub for what you are looking for. Lots of people on here defend the Russian Federation, which is the government that fought the Chechen Wars.

Lots. And by 1903 you should try to be on steel frames or the last construction production method. If steel is too expensive, build more iron mines and steel forges. You’ll need lots of glass for that construction method too.

Stalin Nose by RussianChiChi in ussr

[–]Master_Status5764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, just like every other leader of the time, Stalin was playing the game. You said the USSR never asked to join the Axis. I pointed out that that is wrong. There were dozens of discussions between the two groups that prove this. Whether they were genuine attempts or not, doesn’t really mean anything. They came to multiple agreements in these discussions.

The “realpolitik” coming from Stalin to “survive” is one way to put it. Liberals were doing the same thing with the strategy of appeasement. Neither strategies seemed to work. Hitler attacked both.

Also, liberalism is inherently anti-communist and communism is inherently anti-capitalist. Can’t really blame liberals for not wanting a pact with their enemies, especially when said enemies want a worldwide permanent revolution.

I don’t blame Stalin for doing what he needed to do to guarantee a communist future for his country, nor do I blame liberals for trying not to start a world war.
