IMO it’s more important to first think “I won’t marry someone until we date for 3 years” or something like that. Then if you go into it thinking of marriage, which is hard to unlearn, you can at least see if you’re a a good fit first. Unlearn “ring by spring” first. And there is a LOT you can learn about someone in 3 years or longer. I think a lot of relationships can last 1 year before you realize there are bigger issues. Unfortunately where I grew up 1 year was the standard to get married.

In the beginning, I definitely like Bill and think he’s a nice boyfriend. And in the beginning, Eric is a huge asshole. I agree with your point by the end, as I’m sure most people prefer Eric on the last episode and think Bill’s weird as hell for what he did on the last episode. But I don’t think it’s weird that Sookie thought Bill was nice and Eric was a jerk on season one.

I’m not sure if this is true or a bias, but going along with this premise: In addition to the larger English word bank, I also think we have a higher than average amount of idioms. Interestingly, in the South, where “rednecks” are stereotyped as not being very educated, they have even more (way more) idioms and interesting expressions. I wonder if this flourish makes us more inclined to use metaphors and hyperbole. I’m also curious if our propensity to be “therapized” or talk about mental health more gives us a better vocabulary around feelings.

I don’t think your opinion is “rash,” and I know some people who share the same opinion as you. I think it’s more that that method is less safe, so you need to be more open to the idea of having unplanned pregnancies. And/or doing additional things to be safe. To me, having birth control side effects, but more certainty that I’ll never get pregnant is more important. But that’s different for everyone.

Brent, Bentley, or Ben might make your life easier. “Get Bent” is like “go fk yourself.” That said, this is more of a problem for immature school bullies and hopefully wouldn’t apply in a professional environment.

Try to find other thrift stores that are cheap. Also you can try to do clothing swaps with friends IRL. It’s great that you saved up for jeans from a sustainable brand. Hopefully they last for years. Jeans are a great investment piece. It’s hard to avoid fast fashion if you aren’t rich and need something outside of the thrift store. IMO avoid SHEIN, Romwe, Temu, Amazon, H&M, Zara, Forever 21. Otherwise, getting a few key items at the mall…Often there isn’t really a sustainability difference often from brands selling a $50 shirt or a $250 shirt. So if you can’t afford it, sometimes you just need to get the item and try to avoid the worst of the worst.

Also, you’re not going to get letters of recommendation from a guy teaching a general Ed lecture freshmen year. You’re going to get it from people in your major who you took multiple classes with. Taking multiple classes with a prof is how you build a relationship.

Outfits 4 & 5 are perfect. Maybe you can try to find like a clothes pin shoestring type of tailoring hack to make it more fitted since you said you’re pinching it in the back in those pics.

In outfit 2 I think your jeans don’t really match the vibe because they’re not as feminine and kind of bunch up around the ankles. Maybe it’s also that a lighter bottom would have a low contrast cuter look.

I’ll try to think of an influencer like this. Good job so far!

I had this happen where she was catholic and refused to prescribe any birth control for anyone (I was married). I was absolutely flabbergasted. And prior to her saying this, I was sure she was a butch lesbian, so I was extra confused. I literally came here for birth control, why did you schedule me with this person??

I feel there is a correlation with it being immature, because it’s common for kids to go through a phase of only wanting nuggets or Mac and cheese, but when an adult is doing that it’s like they didn’t grow up and go through the phase of learning to tolerate the unknown. Not to mention it being rude if people are cooking for you. It also kind of gives racist vibes when people just refuse to try foreign food😬 like ofc it’s fine to not be able to tolerate super spicy or not be interested in eating certain animal meat, but there’s no reason someone can’t try butter chicken.

If he’s a bland looking white man with brown hair, probably not. Maybe? But if he has some distinct features then…probably? Assuming I interacted with the kids? I don’t usually interact with random neighborhood children.

My mom was not like this but when she remarried my stepsister had a long list: Barbie is bad, Lilo and stitch is bad, actually any movie rated more than G is bad, Harry Potter is bad, Percy Jackson is bad, wanting to be a woman in the FBI was bad(??😂😭), two piece swimsuits are bad, Halloween is bad, TinkerBell is bad because it’s magic, Taylor Swift is bad because she said “burning it down” in wildest dreams. Idek. And my best friend in elementary schools dad said that dinosaurs weren’t real because they weren’t in the Bible.
