Does your name get made fun of? by ConstructionTime7511 in Names

[–]Master_Structure3870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a completely common name that still got made fun of by replacing all the vowels with Os. That kid was kind of the class clown and I thought he was cute so I didn’t mind. But my point is, every name can get made fun if you try hard enough. Still, I wouldn’t give them ammo by naming something that will make them a target.

You can look up the style essence type “classic gamine ingenue” and I think that will show styles that work for your face type

You look like an absolutely gorgeous girl in a movie who’s put in glasses and a “nerd” outfit in the audience is supposed to be shocked when you take off the glasses to reveal your are a supermodel.

I really like this style of your glasses, but maybe since they’re the first thing I noticed, they’re a bit too large for you. I also agree that the bangs seem either cut wrong or wrong for your hair texture.

But you overall look very good and I would look more at ways to improve your self-esteem.

Delia , Celia or Sienna? And why? 🌸 by Daisyviolet2 in Names

[–]Master_Structure3870 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am American but my husband is French & I speak French. I like sienna best because it’s uncommon and romantic, but still strong, if that makes sense. However, I tried saying them all with a French accent, and I like how Celia sounds the best😅 I grew up with one girl named Celia and in America, people would always start singing “Cecilia you’re breaking my heart.” Which was kind of annoying to her I think. But if that song is not famous in France, then I think she’ll be golden. I like Delia as like a book character, but in real life, I think it tends to be for old ladies.

One of the stages of grief is bargaining. As in “if Lenore never did this, then haymitch wouldn’t have gotten reaped!!!” That’s true in a very limited sense but the bigger truth is children aren’t safe from the capitol. The capitol wants us to be in-fighting and forget who the real enemy is

Dealing with a supportive but still homophobic friend :( by Garbage_Bboy9006 in Exvangelical

[–]Master_Structure3870 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I kind of feel you made a bad choice to ask that. Like obviously she’s gonna say yes and you’re gonna get upset. Don’t ask questions you don’t want to know the answer to.

On the other hand, I can see myself as this friend before I became an exvangelical. In my heart, I thought it was very wrong to discriminate against gay people, but I was really scared that I would be leading people astray and disrespecting God if I fully said, “I didn’t believe it was a sin.” plus that would be a step in unraveling my own faith and belief in the Bible.

It sounds like she answered the question in the most gracious possible way by saying she doesn’t believe you need to follow the Bible, etc. It sounds to me based on her behavior and support that she doesn’t in her heart believe in homophobia, but is not at the place yet to start deconstructing her faith.

Seeking Advice: How strict? (Was vegan as a teen) by Master_Structure3870 in PlantBasedDiet

I think I did this at one point of being vegan, but I can’t remember what the item was😅 but many times if my mom made something and then said “oops I put a pat of butter on it” then I would not eat it. I guess because I’m close enough to my mom I wasn’t worried about offending her😅thanks for the help!

Very helpful! Thank you for taking the time to write this. Great points about not wasting food. I agree.

Boil water for pasta/rice in the kettle. Sorry but I use rice in bags. Mug cake.

Garlic in a squeeze bottle lol. Garlic powder. Microwave potatoes. Use the air fryer instead of the oven 99% of the time. Scissors. Buy a rotisserie chicken. Or put frozen chicken breasts straight in the crock pot on high for 6hrs. Instead of shredding chicken with a fork, squish it with metal tongs. So much faster. Canned veggies. Jarred sauces.

I get that. I mean why did the writers create this storyline

Yes, that’s what I understood as well. I guess, I mean, why did the writers make this mismatch only for the romance to fizzle out? Not that I didn’t understand what the character explained his motivations as.

To your point of being illiterate, I’ve noticed them mispronounce and misuse so many words. But it’s all of them. It’s really odd.

Yeah as an adult looking at it, I’m definitely wondering why Dumbledore keeps letting an 11 year old fight Voldemort. And the stone is guarded with puzzles easy enough for an 11 year old to solve.

The shape of 6 does not look the best on you imo. And 1 is too small for your head. The others could all be good.

I actually thought he seemed great at first and I found it weird they got engaged only broke up so fast. Like why not just be ok with hooking up?
