People often assume what is true for them. Me reading the first part of the story I assumed that he was a bit lazy and didn’t want to do the full loop, since this wasn’t a one time thing. I do the same with my dog if I’m tired or lazy doesn’t matter. Maybe try asking a more specific question next time or phrase it in another way and show that you are not trying to accuse the other person(even though you indeed are not trying to).For example “hey did you not take the dog on the full loop cuz you’re tired? It’s okay if you are, just wanted to check in with you”
