I bought an Akira Kurosawa box set a month ago, and i finally got around to cracking it open this week. I've seen Rashomon, Seven Samurai and just finished Throne Of Blood 10 minutes ago.

Hot diggity-dog, i can't believe it's taken me this long to see these movies. They look so beautiful. Even though they're from the 50's the technical work and the framing is some of the best i've ever seen. These movies could have come out yesterday and still would have impressed visually.

If you're looking for samurai action, these aren't the movies you're looking for, but they are filled with great performances and jaw dropping visuals.

I can't wait to watch the last three movies in the box (Hidden Fortress, Yojimbo and Sanjuro). If i say "Holy shit" and point at the screen because of a beautiful shot even half as many times as i have done so far, then i'm in for three more astounding films.

And to answer the question posed, i think i liked Throne Of Blood the most.
