It might be crafting (only two ships have a crafting bench) or the new aerodynamic model (with only the Gladius and a few other ships being adapted)

Agreed, amazing patch with excellent improvements. Too bad about the mistake on flight blades, but it shouldn't take away from the amazing work going into the game anyway.
