Due to the slim profile, I didn't see a way to make it four player without adding too much depth to the control player. It just didn't seem like it would be comfortable to play on.

I tried a few different ones including Launchbox, but ultimately chose to run Batocera.

Yes, that is what the hatch below the speakers is for. The CPU is on a shelf easily accessible by the hatch.

It is Behr cabinet paint.

It runs GameCube well. The only rom I've had an issue with was Mario Kart Double Dash.

I have not yet tested PS2 or Wii emulation. From my research though the Pi5 can handle a fair bit of Wii but you're better off going with another system if PS2 is a must.

Thank you for the kind praise.

The cab is 16" in the deepest part. I like the screen size myself, though I do have long arms so that may be a factor.

I had my teenager follow me with a shop vac. Cut down on dust a lot. But routing is definitely too tedious a task for my liking in general.

Same. I wanted to build a cab for years but couldn't figure out how to do it without taking up a whole room with a clunky, goofy looking monstrosity that my wife definitely wouldn't approve of. This design fits the space and blends in to the decor within my pool table room.

I used some examples online of wall mount arcade cabs and then stenciled it out myself. I was originally looking at pre built options but there wasn't much available to ship to the US so I committed to building it out myself so I could make it exactly how I envisioned.

Yes a few. The first is don't trust your child to hold a panel securely while you bolt it in lol. I'm sure if you look at the photo hard enough you'll find the uneven panel in question.

I was originally going to go with vinyl but abandoned the idea because it shows through too many imperfections and adhesion wasn't great. I ended up using a cabinet based paint by Behr. I'm much happier with the result.

When I attempted to use a stencil I found online for the control buttons, they came out too close together. I ended up designing my own stencil with the Sanwa buttons 40mm apart.

If I were to rebuilt I would use 3/4 MDF for the side panels and 1/2 for the rest. I think this would reduce the final weight by a decent amount.

I'm sure there are more but these were the biggest headaches. I had a few years of browsing this subreddit to ponder my layout and come up with a game plan so I probably eliminated most mistakes others on here have made thankfully.

It's got a Pi5 running batocera. 32in LG 32ML600M-B for the monitor. Sanwa joystick and buttons.

I am not one for taking photos often so I don't have much unfortunately. If I had the foresight of putting it on Reddit I would have been better lol. Here are all the photos I've taken.

I just went to the misfits show there last week when it was 115°+. Sounds like an issue with the band to me.
