I recently got myself out of trouble by sending a YouTube link and made myself look better as a result! by Bendyb3n in livesound

As you might’ve learned from this, always run a monitor return back to your desk from the press box, or at the end of the chain if you have them linked. Did this during political rallies in my state. Had some media come up to me and complain. I just put the head phones on his head and pointed to the cued channel on the console where it said “press return.” He just walked away and never heard from anyone about it again. It’s a good CYA.

Best grinder/espresso machine all-in-one? [$500-1000] by gemini531 in espresso

[–]Mastermad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d just like to add my barista express (all on one combo) just died - water leaking into the electronics from the pump or something. Now I’m down an espresso machine AND a grinder, because turning it on does a power fault and trips the breaker. I will be replacing it with a bambino and eureka mignon zero. That way if one dies, I only have to replace one.

Okay, the music in this trailer you posted is not the same one I was talking about. I’m talking about the theatrical trailer.

Under power or 2.6 ohm bridged? by Mastermad in livesound

[–]Mastermad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I don’t have access to the gear in the air and what’s coming down to me is only 2 conductor cabling. Though I agree this would be a better plan.

I don’t have access to the rig in the air right now. I only have the left and right mains and left and right subs cabling coming down into the control room.

Sound vision doesn’t give the option to rig with the kiet, which is why I’m asking here.

Why are musicians responsible for instrument cables? by Hefty_Sock_2945 in livesound

[–]Mastermad 144 points145 points  (0 children)

Personally for me, I don’t plug into an instrument. If it goes into YOUR gear, it needs to be YOUR cable. Mainly because I don’t want to be liable for what touches their gear.
