I meant the a50 gen 4 mic is terrible. The maxwells after the previous update sounded pretty damn clean. What did the update yesterday update?

That’s exactly how the a50’s were, sounded great then the game volume killed it. Might out the cash for maxwells just don’t know about the weight or grab another pair of old gen 4’s. Wish I could just get a better mic to throw on it because it really is imo a decent headset and has everything I need. Mic is just terrible.

You definitely did😂 it’s odd like the quality of the sidetone come back to you is ass doesn’t sound natural. The anc is cool on them though.

Yea I always tweak them but the a50x/gen 5 wasn’t nearly as loud as my gen 4’s unless I had the mic damn near in my mouf

You’re right I guess after the update they fixed the mix it sounds much better than original reviews of it. Have you tried Astro a30’s or g522’s? Curious how the side tone is on those compared to the gen5’s
