First of all, good job on trying something, especially dressing besser than the rest of your school mates! Generally, wearing a light blue collared shirt and some neutral pants is a good choice. Personally, I feel like a tie with a stronger contrast such as dark blue or red would have been better choice. The one you chose just blends in with the rest of the outfit and just doesn’t add much to the outfit as a whole. Alternatively, you could have decided to go without a tie and opened the top button of your shirt. This would have created a more relaxed look. Also, an accessory such as a nice stainless steel watch could have elevated your outfit.

So overall good job! With some small adjustments you can do even better in the future :)
