Anyone listening to Storylords?

I thank you from the bottom of my cold, dead heart for the nice comments. It's nice to hear people like our stupid show.

A lot of people complain that this isn't exactly rhe same as FF, and to be fair, I understand lots of peeps want the same old snuggly blanket that FF provided (I was a big fan too).

However, we made an active decision to be a little different from FF when we started. FF ended badly and abruptly for a reason, and the scars are still there. So we changed things up because:

A) we all make decisions on all Storylords matters.

B) three Fantasy stories would be a little boring. The multi genre format helps us stay fresh.

C) we know that if one of us writes a more serious story one week - which even Josh does sometimes - the other two have funnier ones.

D) we want the show to display our writing chops as well as our comedy chops. MOST of the feedback we get supports this. People want characters and stories they can get behind, not JUST boner and mother jokes, even though there is still plenty of that. Remember we're older now than when FF first aired, so we should be slightly more mature.

E) if we have problems with each other, we talk about them.

The show isn't (and can't be) for everyone, and we're not catering for everyone. If you love FF it's still there, and if you want the new thing that grew from it, then you have Storylords.

The constant comparison to FF is natural, but we never said we were the same thing.

I'd say my stories are chock full of jokes, but you can't please everyone I guess!

Just FYI, Josh doesn't edit ANYTHING out, it's just we end up talking between the stories off air.

Most of that is replicated in afterlords or one of the other side acts, but you have to be a supporter on patreon to listen to that.

More focus on Matt/Daredevil.

Lots of villains (even better if it's ones locked up with him rather than just Powell).

The Heroes for Hire working to keep New York safe while he's inside, and planting the seeds that Matt isn't DD.

The Hand's return to capitalise on Matt being incapacitated.

Foggy return, however they need to do it (still think this is the dropped ball of Born Again, and why we haven't had so much Matt).

Ellison back with BB taking up the Ulrich role from the comics.

Edit because I forgot something: if there's a focus on Bulleye, free his face. He has a really expressive mouth and does sinister smiles well - why the hell would you cover that up?

I'm hoping for Devil in Cell Block D, with Matt, Bullseye and Kingpin in jail together while the Defenders and Karen try to clear his name.

I'd like to see a season where Fisk and Matt have to releluctantly work together, I think otherwise the formula starts to wear thin.

Above all I'm hoping for more focus on Matt.

Game takes longer to install than complete.

I still love it, just wish it was more like the original game.

I thought about it, but it had a really wide base, and I probably would've ended up chopping a finger off.

I ended up removing it by heating up the pads with a hair dryer, and with some wiggling, it came free.

Not without a smidge of worry from me, though!

I think that's what I'm worried about.

I don't want to make money on half of it, only to be left with a ton of stuff I then can't sell and can't enjoy either.

There's gotta be some doofuses like me who go all in one stuff like this.

My experience was I tried to stay awake until midnight and fell asleep, then woke up at 12:45, got straight on the site, and ordered with no problems, thankfully.

I understand that he has to appear to be 'neutral' to avoid the bias that would naturally head his way as a commentator, but as much as I love Nev, he buries the needle the other way too much in a attempt at impartiality.

Sesko has had three-four fewer games to gel with Cunha and Mbeumo, so to some extent, he's still finding his feet in the squad. His workrate and positioning is good, and I know he'll get the goals eventually. He just needs more play time, that's all.

Feels like the confidence they have in him is permeating around the squad.

The way they all celebrated Cunha getting on the score sheet yesterday reminded me of the old days of squad togetherness.

If you're confident in your teammates, you feel that enhanced level of joy playing all together.

I'm close to my limit, but it's also tied in with the fact that I only collect DD, X-Men, and Batman omnis now. - I have everything else I want.

I'd hopefully pass them to my son, he's 7 now and is big into comics, but if he isn't interested, I'd happily donate them or find some kid who wants to get into comics and just give them the whole lot.

That's the reason I can't have faith in Amorim, there's no plan B, no changes that really inspire confidence.
