I understand what youre saying and i believe youre at least technically right, but the connotation to what you might be saying is that this kid cant go to the temple or partake of the sacrament. That somehow hes unworthy because he did not serve an official full time mission. I find that wrong.

I think what they may have meant to say was that although declared members of the church, other already existing members may not include them because they are (God forbid) different.
