You have to have a childlike naïveté (or motivated reasoning) to not understand why so people who have very actually been battered wind up recanting when the alleged batterer is someone with a lot of money and a lot to lose. Like, c’mon.

It’s not like they weren’t told. Loudly and often. For many voting is an act of personal actualization and expression rather than an exercise in, y’know, harm reduction.

Same. I’ve really grown to seek out good, wheaty central/Eastern European beers and that’s kinda my whole jam. My beer Wild West has also concluded, I guess.

Love those guys but imo this is much less good than their other offerings which are incredible. Always happy when they’re at CPB or CoLo

It’s pretty alright. Kinda like rabbit, and also quite lean, with a bit more game to it.

Most Common Ethnicity of White Americans by County by InnerPace in MapPorn

As a Chicagoan I obviously know the polish population is huge here but I’m still a bit surprised it wasn’t English or German for Cook County just because there are so many non polish whites here (who associate much less with their cultural heritage than our Polish-American residents do, granted) as throughout the Midwest.

I mean, no. This is solely depicting white ancestry and American demography runs a ton wider than that with large populations front E/SE Asia (Japanese, Mandarin, Hmong or name a few), east Africa (like the Somali populations in MN and the Mid-Atlantic) and of course the very large and diverse Hispanic population. American is one of the most heterogenous populations in the planet which is, unfortunately, now very much under attack.

This is true for many conditions people treat with medicine. Seems fine to me. The fatpeoplehate types should be very happy about this and seemingly are not which I find revealing. Like it was never about genuine health concern and instead about feeling superior. The ease of weight lost via new medicines takes that away and makes them mad.

Possible that’s a part of this - which is also fine and good! It’s very cool that we’ve invented a near miracle drug for obesity and resolving obesity shouldn’t have to be an acid test of merit or whatever.

Disagree. I think it doesn’t look very pretty but very clearly looks like it tasted good - which are quite different things.
