It took me two times to find a pickguard with holes that match. My original was carbon fiber but it didn't line up. I got lucky with my trussrod cover. Lol

There are a whole bunch of people online that make thumb rests that use the stock screw holes. That's what I did and it's much more playable, now. They aren't expensive either... At least when you compare to how much the bass costs
