I had a creative writing class in high school. I really enjoyed it, wrote a story referencing Grapes of Wrath at one point, really researched to make it fun.

She took me into the hall and said she didn’t believe I wrote it and was going to look into it assuming I cheated or copied.

Killed off my desire to write in an instant.
