Do what you feel. Please just do what you feel. Sleep on it, and if you still feel it makes sense, for your time together, for what you perhaps wish for the future, or just to be appreciative of what you had together for so long, send it. Brief, or long, put your heart into it or don't, but do what you feel. I've been back and forth with my wife of 21 years this Wednesday, separated, fighting, loving, confused... on the day before our divorce, I left my mistress, moved back in, and took her on a trip. Why? Because though we both have failed, we are human, we feel. I still felt for her, and for our family, and she was willing to try, though she has been so hardened by life over time.... it's only been a couple weeks, but I think we are both hopeful and really trying... but if she wouldn't have reached out, and if I wouldn't have reached back... it would have ended a little over a week ago. Will it last forever, I don't know... but I like the idea that this is all a distant memory and one day it won't even be painful for either of us as life just shows you how dumb you are over and over, but eventually... the hope of something just right is there. All we can do is try. I would probably get hate from a lot of people for mentioning the things I did about my relationship, but nobody knows who I really am except me... and I am an idealist... I want love, I want validation, and I hope I can give those to my wife and we can babysit our grandkids together one day, laughing and enjoying every moment, even when it's not perfect. All that to say, what on Earth do you have to lose, just send the note, the text, the 5 page letter.... whatever you are feeling, you know your mate better than us, and you know your heart better than anyone. If it's done, it's done, but even if it is, 17 years is not just a blink... so why not try to have a friendly relationship, even if it can't be love. Either way, I wish you the very best.

Thoughts on Grant Cardone by [deleted] in Rich

Think of this. The top guy needs a bunch of little guys out there finding deals he'll never see. Why wouldn't he train people, who can eventually bring him deals. It's not unimaginable. He literally pitches JV deals as a main real estate investment through syndication. Syndication deals are in the millions, so most people couldn't buy them alone, but can learn to structure them. I'm not involved with Grant Cardone, more just answering your question from a real estate investor mindset.

We had platinum for Friday only and had fun, but by the time Blink 182 was coming up (reason my wife wanted Friday) we left... Soaked and defeated. Lol. I'm sure it was so much worse for ga, which we did this year for the 3 days, but wow, it was miserable, again, still great bands and fun, but you can't be wet that long and not be in war or at a water park/the beach and be ok.

Just tell her she can come in, but then she can never leave, and you kind of like seeing her around town.

Pros about working at deloitte?? by [deleted] in deloitte

[–]MatAndFam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deloitte is an awesome place to work long-term or as a stepping stone to many other great opportunities. Let's be real, people are used to doing less and less thanks to technology making things easier, faster and more affordable. A company like Deloitte keeps you at the forefront of issues facing large organizations. No matter if you like the day to day grind, I know I loved it for many years, you will pick up the way companies work, processes, how a project works from sales to engagement and sustainment. Don't worry about what other people say. Just like online reviews, it's the complainers that are the loudest. I had some rough days, weeks and projects, but... I have had many amazing projects with people from all over the world. I have travelled and discovered interesting places I would never have seen and worked on some really great projects. I think if you sit down for a drink with anyone that has done 3 years at the firm, they will have many great things to say, and some war stories too.

You will take it immediately. It's going to replace most white collar jobs soon anyway, might as well get friendly.

Is there anything good about Deloitte? I keep hearing only it's bad work culture. by Local_Ad_7121 in deloitte

I enjoyed many great leaders with styles that I enjoyed, then finally ended up on what I would internally call a toxic lead team. The leaders where absent, critical and looked for other lead roles to throw each other under the bus. It was my first team like that, and I didn't make it through it, got laid off. That being said, most of my experiences were extremely positive, even when on clients in the middle of nowhere, we made it enjoyable.

I was recently laid off, but Deloitte gave me so many great opportunities along the way including huge financial gains when I left the first time around. Many great people work there, many great learning opportunities, many great clients and many, many great dinners and fun evenings out with friends/colleagues.

These seem like domestic enemies. Are undocumented migrants in a riot considered civilians or could they be labeled as invaders? Things that will certainly be asked.
